Tune in to NQR now for our special convention coverage (open thread)

(UPDATE: We’re feeding the audio of Hillary’s speech through the radio, so you can tune in to NQR and listen.)

The Nocturnal Warrior We’re on live!

Senator Clinton is scheduled to address the convention tonight at 10pm ET, and we’re bracketing her speech with special editions of The Nocturnal Warrior and Hour of Power.

Tune in right now to The Nocturnal Warrior from 9pm to 10pm on NQR. The Warrior’s guest is David Freddoso, who’s at the convention in Denver and is “all fired up” from dealing with Obama supporters. The call-in line for questions is (347) 677-0792, and the NQR chat room is open.

Then, following Senator Clinton’s address to the convention, we’ll be back at 11pm ET with a special late-night edition of Hour of Power. The Nocturnal Warrior will join host DCMediaGirl to talk about Hillary’s speech and take questions from callers.

An audio archive of each show will be available at NQR immediately following the broadcast.

This is one strange convention. It’s neither inspiring or motivating. I am yet to hear a coherent line of attacks.

Please HRC give these folks some life and show them what’s missing. But don’t you dare clean up their dirty work.

The convention is too scripted. I think it was Stephanolpolous who said it’s like something out of North Korea. They are all programed to say the samething.

THat Sebelius is gorgeous but my goodness she is better than a sleeping pill.

Obama may be looking for a role model of governance from our enemies.

I’m hearing when Hillary speaks it will be strictly about issues. If it is that would be great. I know she doesn’t want to praise Obama.

Hillary has already crossed the line by telling us to support Obama.

First she let Bill walk all over her with Monica, Gennifer Flowers, etc etc etc. And now she’s letting another MAN walk all over her again. She is a traitor to the ideals of independant woman-hood and feminism. She is a disgusting disgrace!

Maybe she has more than sex and vindictiveness on her mind.

Is A SLAP IN THE FACE a request?

Wolf Blitzer mentions that Bob Casey Sr was denied a speaking slot at the 1992 Convention because he was opposed to abortion. Paul Begala corrects him, explaining that it was actually because Casey refused to endorse Clinton. Blitzer thanks Begala for clearing up “that myth.”

Literally minutes later, Bob Casey Jr. appears on the podium. What does the scroll say? “Bob Casey Sr was denied a speaking slot at the 1992 Convention because of his opposition to abortion.”

And now Casey is covertly attacking the Clintons by praising Obama for letting him speak at the convention. I think I’m going to throw up.

Sharpton Warns Clintons: Be Nice to Obama This Week Or Else

Ooh - big bad Al Sharpton - I’m sure the Clintons are shaking in their boots! Good grief - have ALL the democrats turned into thugs?

And take a look at the next story down at the link you provided - “Obama Camp Mulls Shortened Roll Call (What is Obama Afraid Of?)” Ha ha!

In New York we consider Al Sharpton a racial arsonist.

My mom hit it on the head tonight as she was watching:

“I’ll tell you something, the convention is much more boring when it seems like a foregone conclusion.”

Gag me, Obamabots.

Add Casey to the traitor roll - another “fighting” Democrat has caved in, a la the Clintons. Is there a single Democrat left that has a spine, and is willing to stand up to Obama?

Hillary better light up this place because speaker after speaker seems to be falling flat maybe I am just sick and tired of hearing we need Obama, Obama is the greatest, my god cant they just talk about issue and give us all a reason why we should have a democrat president.

I really think that is the problem it’s too much of a over sell of Obama to the public

Damn, she should be President.

What a speech.

Comment by tskTsk | 2008-08-26 23:01:39

Yes. She should be our President. Many people were hearing her for only the first or second time. She is funny. “Bush and McCain are going to be in the Twin Cities because these days it’s hard to tell them apart”..Hillary Clinton. Great speech. All Americans are the losers, not Hillary. Hillary is and always will be one classy woman. She quoted Harriot Tubbman and mentioned at length Congresswoman Jones and and that was the Hill we know.
God Speed Hillary.

Hillary took a dive. Made me wanna puke. Bill is not as constrained by circumstances, hopefully.

Objectively, this is a convention on SOMA. Democrats are supposed to “kick ass” and have raucous fun. Welcome to North Korea, definitely. Their own fault for beings so undemocratic, having to stifle dissent.

Sigh. My last two days as a Democrat.
