Bill Clinton Lays Out Clear Message for Delegates!

“Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?”—Bill Clinton.

Of course, Bill added, “This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”

Clinton is clearly suggesting that the party and delegates are making the wrong choice in coronating Obama this week.  Obama and company can scream all they want, but as the only successful two-term Democratic president in recent memory, Clinton can and needs to say anything he wants.  The truth hurts but the Dear Leader, his cult following, and delegates should listen carefully and not dismiss Clinton’s hypothetical question out of hand.  (I suspect Bill will be the next voice for an upcoming McCain ad, maybe just hours before Obama’s nominating vote!)

It is refreshing to see that Bill has not given up on Hillary yet.  Also, this has to give Obama serious heartburn as he contemplates Bill at the microphone tomorrow.

See Sam Youngman’s “Bill Clinton in Denver again undercuts Obama” (at The Hill) for discussion of Bill’s talk today with foreign dignitaries in Denver.

I love the Big Dawg, best president ever. I got the message. Stand up for what you believe in.

I believe I will never vote for Obama. And I’ll stand up anytime and repeat that belief.

Hillary 2012

And who wouldn’t love a Bill do over. My bank accounts would love it!!

Yep. Me, too!

He’s making sure that Hillary has a nice fall, and isn’t forced to work, day in and day out, trying to propel a loser to a respectable showing.

2012. It’s only four years away…I can wait.

MORE ON CANDIDATE X:

Let’s see…Candidate X agrees with you on everything, except when he flip-flops and suddenly disagrees with you on everything.

Candidate X and his followers called you and everyone you love racists. They called your wife and your mother c*nts. They spread lies and misogynistic slander against your candidate. They blatantly rigged the primaries, then told you to get over it (known in politics as “twisting the knife”).

Candidate X stammers like a child and displays distinct delusional and sociopathic tendencies. He plagiarizes. He flip-flops like a turbine engine. He’s tight with a Syrian political fixer in Chicago. He lies about his past. He has surrounded himself with neocon advisers.

He cannot control his Brownshirt fans. His records are missing. Everything he has ever done betrays the most execrable judgment. His wife uses psychotic imagery on former Democratic Presidents.

Under these circumstances, Candidate Y will have to do.

Comment by Isabelle | 2008-08-27 08:02:28

Perry…….an extraordinary post.

Per a commentator’s comment on “Morning Joe” this a.m.: post Candidate X’s presumptive Primary win, Candidate “Y” called Candidate “X’s” wife multiple times; however, all Candidate “Y’s” calls were unrequited! If this is true, it is unconscionable: inconceivably offensive.

HOPIUM is no grown in the lovely vocanic mountains of Hawaii or in California Splendor.

Hopium is grown from 100% pure BULLSHIT right out of the ass of AXELCRAP.

Obama himself is one huge pile of AXELCRAP, brought to life in a horrible WMD Biological weapons experiment.

Unleashing this huge pile of BULLSHIT lifeform on the unsuspecting innocents is the worst incident of domestic terrorism in the history of Man.

If you are supporting Bob Barr, I have no respect for you. Do you know, for example, Barr was one of the Republicans leading the charge to impeach Pres. Clinton on the basis of his lie about his relationship with Monica? And do you know Barr had to resign shortly after because he was having an affair, paid for an abortion for his girlfriend, divorced his wife and married his girlfriend? If you want to vote Libertarian, you would be better off voting for Ron Paul. I believe he is still on the ballot in some states. At least he is an honorable man. Barr is a hypocritical liar.

When he was in Congress he was a red meat conservative, supporting the extreme right social agenda. He may be libertarian as far as taxes go, but that’s about it.

And he has all the charm of a rattlesnake in the coiled position.

You are quite dense.
Your master had a great chance. Lose graciously to Hillary, become VP, put some distance between him and his past, gain some experience. In 8 years the WH would be open for him after a successful two term of Hillary. In the beginning I thought it will happen. Of course this was before the race card was pulled from the bottom of the deck.

His past now is catching up. The Ayer files are now in republican hands. This is only the first installment. Some 900 files?

You see, petty, vengeful people are not politicians. They are thugs (or Chicago politicians).

Rep. Lewis on PBS Newshour: Jan, 2008

REP. JOHN LEWIS (D), Georgia: Judy, I knew Martin Luther King, Jr. I marched with him. I worked with him. He played a major role in inspiring people, giving people hope.

I also knew Lyndon Johnson. I was there with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on March 15, 1965, when we watched Lyndon Johnson deliver his speech in response to what was happening in Selma, when he said, “And we shall overcome.”

I looked at Dr. King. He looked at me, and tears came down his eyes. And he said, “We will get the civil rights bill, the voting rights bill passed. We will march from Selma to Montgomery.”

I think there’s been a deliberate, systematic attempt on the part of some people in the Obama camp to really fan the flame of race and really try to distort what Senator Clinton said. I understand and I think most right-thinking people understood what she said.

Martin Luther King, Jr., created the climate, created the environment, but it took a Lyndon Johnson to get the legislation through the Congress.

No one is trying to say Dr. King did little. He did a great deal. He is not crying out from his grave in Atlanta saying, “Defend me.” His legacy doesn’t need any defense.

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-08-27 09:11:02

Elise:

Thank you for reminding me that Rep. John Lewis is a great friend of Hillary, and an eloquent associate of Dr. King. He was threatened by the O-Bots, and by Jesse, Jr. for his support of Hillary. One of my favorite quotes from Rep. Lewis had been taped to my computer monitor for years, but the ink has faded, so I’ll try to recite the quote from memory, “We may have come to this country in different ships, but we’re all in the same boat now.”

If Hillary has forgiven Bill for his transgressions, it’s none of your fucking business what he did in his personal life. The only person who has a right to pass judgment on him is his wife and she has moved on….Einstein. Get over it.

Just wait until the McCain campaign exposes your messiah. Get your meds ready because he will be exposed. I am looking forward to seeing all the exploding Obot heads….It will be very gratifying to watch. You’ll get yours.

Karma’s a bitch.

“Obama and company can scream all they want, but as the only successful two-term Democratic president in recent memory, Clinton can and needs to say anything he wants.”

It’s precisely this lack of control that prevented Obama from picking Hillary as his VP.

Comment by beverly leslie | 2008-08-27 01:21:23

Good thing he didn’t pick her because now we and the media can talk about how stupid it was he didn’t. Not that any of us wanted her to be second fiddle to his stupid ass.

Comment by BlueTopaz | 2008-08-27 01:40:45

No, that’s just the excuse BO uses.
He didn’t pick Hillary because she’s much smarter and would steal his thunder. Also, he and Hillary both know he cheated. Guilty people can’t even stand to be in the same room as the person they cheated. The guilt cramps their style (not that BO has any)!

Comment by DeniseB | 2008-08-27 02:14:11

I think it’s simply because he’s a petty & stubborn man. And too arrogant to think he could possibly lose.

Comment by AnnieCarmel | 2008-08-27 02:05:05

That may have been a plan they both made. Her career would be at an end forever when he is brought down for his connections.

One of my friends (male) angry that Hill wouldn’t step down after Iowa for Godsake wanted to know “What does that woman want?” My answer: “She wants to be President of the United States.” And that, my friends, is the truth. She never wanted to be VP and needed a way to see that she didn’t have to turn it down. This may have been the purpose of the Feinstein house meeting…to let him know. We didn’t want it offered either.

Comment by Garfield | 2008-08-27 01:26:25

Let’s bring up what his son, Junior, said after Hillary’s Iowa loss.

“The natural reminder here is O.J. [Simpson] — how does an African American candidate attack a white woman?”

Did Junior say this because Hillary is white and female?

(Junior is Obama’s National Champaign Co-Chair and Obama never denounced the statement made to the Washington Post.)

Comment by Rob in Chicago | 2008-08-27 09:28:01

roseeriter:

Yes, Jesse Jetstream, Jr. is married, and his wife (Sherri, I believe is her name) recently won a position of Alderman in the City of Chicago. If Barackula loses, Illinois and Chicago politics may become real spectator sports as Jesse, Jr. seems bored with the House of Representatives, and he, his wife, Barack and Michelle may all return to jockey for positions in Chicago and the State of Illinois. If Illinois Governor Blagjevich avoids indictment, conviction or a new effort to pass impeachment legislation, the governor’s race will have a very crowded primary, and Mayor Daley should also expect some real opposition, for a change.

Comment by Lochos Vestu | 2008-08-27 02:21:46

To bring up the fact that most African-Americans in South Carolina that voted for Obama were racists. And indeed they were, they voted for BO only because of his skin color. We remember all the race-baiting tactics that Obama used straight out of Malcolm X’s book.

Face it, Obama’s African-American supporters are mostly racist, like Rev Jeremiah “GD AmeriKKKa” Wright.

Comment by Observer | 2008-08-27 02:31:36

Because most of Obama’s African-American supporters are racists. What, you don’t think minorities can be racists too?

Ask Obama’s Illinois political mentor, Illinois Senate President Emil Jones (the guy who put Obama’s name on many bills in the state senate just to boost Obama’s superthin resume even though Obama did not do a single thing in crafting many of those bills) who called one of Hillary’s female African-American delegates an “Uncle Tom”. That is really insulting and racist.

Obama’s AA supporters cannot see beyond race and skin color. How racist.

Gallup Daily: No Bounce for Obama in Post-Biden Tracking

August 26, 2008

And dottie, exactly what does that have to do with his presidency. He left the White House with a 65% approval rating among all voters and 85% among AAs. He left a balanced budget and a projected surplus of over one trillion dollars. Average incomes adjusted for inflation increased for all Americans and for AAs the increase was the largest ($3,500/yr). Small business loans to AAs increased by 50%. BTW. Did you know JFK had numerous liaisons before and during his presidency and Jackie threatened to divorce him during his campaign? Did you know FDR had a long time affair and his mistress was with him at the time of his death? Dwight Eisenhower began an affair with his driver during WW ll and she continued to work for him after his election to the White House. Richard Nixon had an affair with the Chinese woman who interpreted for him during his visit to that country. Grover Cleveland’s mistress had his child while he was president and Warren Harding mistress blackmailed him and he paid $20,000 for a trip around the world for her. Thomas Jefferson had an affair with his slave and she bore his children.

Obama has stocks, government paid health care, government paid retirement benefits, and his children go to private school.

Michelle Obama is currently on unpaid leave from her $317,000 a year job from a prestigious hospital.

Need we know more? Obama wants us to believe he can relate to middle class America. He is just a typical Washington politician living off tax payers.

What is so offensive is that he tries to make people believe he different from the other politicians. Yeah, right.
