Both she AND John McCain mentioned this week’s celebration of women’s suffrage today. That other guy last night? He didn’t utter a single word about women’s suffrage week, let alone women’s fights for equality and fair treatment, or sexism. I also heard Governor Palin honor Hillary Clinton’s historic candidacy and her vow to HELP us women finally shatter that “glass ceiling.”

Read her Wiki bio. It’s incredible. She’s a true reformer. She worked as a commercial fisherman, She was an athlete. She turned in GOP officials right and left for ethical violations, and has publicly opposed Don Young and Ted Stevens. She stopped the ridge to Nowhere. We were really hesitating to vote for McCain. We were going to sit this one out, because we think Obama is such a typical Chicago pol and he does have that Ayers-Wright thing. Obama and his wife also are really corrupt — you need to read up more on the connections they used during their rise in Chicago. Now we are seriously thinking of voting for McCain.
The only difference in her “experience” and Obama’s is that she’s a VP candidate, and Mr. Wet Behind the Ears is running for the #1 slot. She’s also run a real government, small as it is. The only thing Obama has ever run is the Annenberg Challenge, and all the reviews said it was a big money pit that accomplished nothing.

I’ve noticed that many of the people attacking Obama on here are the same people who relate the fact that Palin has a relative in the military as a positive thing. I guess maybe in some way this makes Obama less patriotic? What difference does it make if her relative is in the military? Who still thinks that the War in Iraq is a good thing again? Why should any of this this apply to how patriotic we are or who we choose as a candidate? She got her passport in July 2007, so that in turn gives her virtually no foreign relations experience. I love this country and my freedom but the notion that some of you think that because Palin has a relative in the military or has visited wounded troops in Germany makes her any more worthy of credit as a VP nominee is ridiculous.
I plan on voting for the party that believes in Separation of Church and State, not for a party whose VP nominee believes the government should preside over what women do with their bodies, even in cases of incest and rape. I’d rather move forward with women’s rights rather than set them back a few decades.
Any women who actually support Palin are buying in to this notion that because she’s a woman, it’s a positive change for the country. This is not a lady for progressing with women’s rights or science and technology.
This lady would rather open pristine wilderness up to more drilling than actually get us electric cars out on the road, technology we’ve possessed for years now. This was already available to us previously…only to be recalled and impounded due to big oil companies and the government caring strictly about profit. Too bad that a few companies like Tesla Motors are actually getting them out there successfully to the public regardless of the asinine Republican Party plans to open up more drilling.

Granted Obama has somewhat more foreign policy experience, but not much. (His idiotic claim to be the best qualified because he lived abroad as a child is beyond stupid.) Obama has done very little in that area even though being given the chair of the Senate subcommittee on European affairs and NATO (which includes their involvement in Afghanistan) gave him a golden opportunity to get some much needed experience. He sqandered it by not have even one meeting of substance. McCain should hammer him on this.
