“Mockery”. “Sarcasm”. “Bullying”. “Sniping”.

CNN’s own Mr. Magoo, Bill Scheider, said that there was “mockery” and “bullying” last night. The Babbling heads there have used the word “sarcasm” to describe Sarah’s speech. “Over the top”! Oh and let us not forget “She took a snipe at him”.

I’ll tell you what is sarcasm, CNN, Mr. Magoo, et al:

Sarcasm is referring to Hillary’s “Periodic” moods.

Sarcasm is playing “99 Problems But A Bitch Isn’t One of Them” at a rally.

Sarcasm is telling Hillary “You’re likeable enough”.

Sarcasm is brushing The Woman off your shoulders, or whatever that infantile non-song suggests. See infantile Manchild in action in above gif.

Sarcasm is calling something “Silly season”. See above gif of a Silly Manchild.

That’s Sarcasm.

Bullying and Mockery? Sniping? Over The Top????Here ya go:

All I have to say is keep crying like broads on a rag. You all lost face it…Cowards…..

The latest smear of Sarah Palin debunked. Yeah, She Has An Affair according to dailykooks…!

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/05/another-palin-smear-bites-the-dust/
Another Palin smear bites the dust

Nutcase bloggers will have to find another smear against Sarah Palin … again. Did you hear that Todd Palin’s former business partner tried to get his divorce records sealed? Conspiracy theorists immediately began speculating on line that Sarah Palin — that vixen! — must have had an affair and broken up the marriage. Why else would the partner suddenly act to seal his records?

Comment by UBM | 2008-09-05 20:54:08

Actually, it’s the National Enquirer that’s talking about an affair. Hey, they busted John Edwards… they must know what they’re doing.

The key thing is: Gov. Palin’s sudden explosion of popularity means that reporters of all sorts — from the mainstream press, the tabloid press, the political press, the celebrity press — are gonna swarm Alaska looking for fresh information.

Expect a distraction a day from all this hubbub… distractions that won’t McCain get his message out.

SHe is a low-class pushy woman. and you have all with your constant blaming of sexism for Hillary’s loss, totally played this out for the Republicans. No one can question Palin now or we are called a sexist. It’s pathetic and you know it. You give me one example of a sexist comment about Palin from Obama…ONE! Can’t do it. Team O is so used to the media carrying their water… It is appalling how Obama talking points get reported as “news”.

I am sure that Team O is behind that free subversive advertisement about Palin in the Enquirer, and let us not forget US magazine…

TALK LEFT LIVE! Hey I just went over there to visit for the first time in a long time, and I liked what I saw. Top story is Jeralyn asking folks what Obama should’ve done differently in this campaign.

Funny, she prefaces it by saying “Now that most of the anti-Obama commenters have left…” ’cause she kicked them out?) “… it’s time to have this discussion.” She then goes on to give HER list which is basically a compendium of all the things I DESPISE Obama for (being mean to Hillary, and so on).

Apparently there is a rule now that you can only post 4 “Obama hate” comments in any given thread, but this discussion quickly devolves into a mixture of Obama hate and “Obama depression”, with violators of the 4-comment rule being ‘poof’ed right and left.

Love it.

Comment by Kat5 | 2008-09-05 21:15:26

Sadly enough, Jeralyn has lost it. Why, no one seems to know, but Sarah Palin is obviously a personal thing with her. Almost overnight, TL has gone from being my number one, thought provoking, Hillary-friendly refuge in a sea of blogosphere bile, to just another smear-retailing, vote-for-Barky fan site. A real shame and a real loss.

Comment by Chicago Joe | 2008-09-05 22:09:04

Jeralyn had been a frequent pundit on some of the legal shows over the years, and if you ask me, she was always out there.

Comment by Leisa | 2008-09-05 22:17:03

That transition was happening for awhile now… I pretty much stopped going there in early June. The lurking visits were only fun when BTD got into an outrage over an issue that the MSM always ignores and is thoughtful in his way of attacking it and then the wonderful Hillary supporters members comments, they were so funny and wonky smart… When they were called out as being racist or a chaterer by Jeralyn I was disappointed that the spirit of reasoned opposing opinions were no longer being allowed on her site…

IMO, the unity train of Obama is really a totalitarian regime in the making… Jeralyn’s conversion as an O supporter and new blog rules prove it.

Now I understand exactly what John McCain meant when he congratulated Barack Obama for “a job well done” on the day of his acceptance speech.

Little did we know when McCain made that comment that he had Sarah Palin up his sleeve.

Obama not only alienated millions of Democratic voters with his sexist, bullying, arrogant campaigning, he digs himself deeper and deeper into the hole everytime he or one of his goons tries the same tactics on Sarah Palin.

I definitely agree with the sentiments expressed in this post. It’s really much too late for Obama to redeem himself. He permanently lost my vote eons ago.

The ONLY way Hillary is going to keep her standing in the New? Old? Revived? Democratic party is to give Obama and all his angry good old boys the finger and do what John McCain and Sarah Palin are doing - stand up for what is right. And campaigning for Obama is not right! It’s the same argument given over and over during the primary - if Hillary even wants to be considered for VP, she needs to lay off the effete, arrogant, selfish one that acts like he’s always on his period. How’s that for sarcasm oh mighty one? It’s just total BS if anyone in this current crop of new and old democrats will let Hillary ever get the nomination. I know one thing, if Hillary sells her soul to campaign for this a–hole, I will never vote for her again! Do what’s right for women, vote for Sarah and stick it to the DNC!

Comment by Steve1 | 2008-09-05 21:00:13

calli You have to realize, Clinton has to play her cards right. She will be campaigning as the good Dem she is! She will come out swinging for the down ticket Dems. She has to start recollecting those IOUs, now. When Little Boots come crashing down in Nove. We need those foot-soldiers there supporting Clinton. Because we are going to have to purge the party BIGTIME. Hillary is going to need those soldiers….understand..don’t be to tough pn her.

Comment by Lark | 2008-09-05 21:10:03

She needs to that without doing the other. Otherwise when the party reverts back to her, it would be very difficult for her to put the ducks back in their rows.

Difficult, yes, but she cannot let all of that hate for her go unanswered.

Tons of books, articles and studies will be done on the Hillary campaign. It will take years to sort all of that out, but she needs to end this in a way that raises her as the go to person in the Dem Party.

Comment by elise | 2008-09-05 22:22:52

I have a question for you,Lark? Here is a long time member of the Democratic Party. She has worked to elect Democrates for thirty five years. She was briefly a Goldwater Girl in high school and college until a the Civil Rights movement began.
Wic.
Hillary was invited by moderate New York Republican Representative Charles Goodell to help Governor Nelson Rockefeller’s late-entry campaign for the Republican nomination. She attended the 1968 Republican National Convention in Miami. However, she was upset by how Richard Nixon’s campaign portrayed Rockefeller and by what she perceived as the convention’s “veiled” racist messages, and left the Republican Party for good.

She has worked for women’s rights her entire adult life, has been pro choice all her life and fought for universal health care for two decades. Now you tell me this; WTH do you think she is supposed to do and what makes you think you know and understand more about how to do what she has promised to do and maintain her integrity to herself and her principles and balance that with the commitments to us (her supporters) without working inside the Democratic party?

The last few days, I have been reading these posts about Hillary and, frankly, I am confused. People who call themselves Hillary’s supporters have busy with their keyboards giving their opinions about what she should or should not do, selfishly thinking about how they feel is right for Hillary. Anyone who has watched her campaign knows she will not use sexist comments against another woman to get BO elected. She still doesn’t believe he can be elected. I wasn’t the target of attacks for fifteen months, but I despise him and his campaign for what they have done. I hate to see her help him in any way at all, but I am not going to take it upon myself to judge what she is doing or at what point she will feel she has kept her promise and can move on. It has been a week since McCain announced Gov. Palin will be his running mate and the attacks against her are being made by the same people who reviled Hillary. They are empty headed sexist and hate mongers. I want Obama to lose big in Nov. because I don’t want them in charge of my party, but I want Hillary to be in good standing with the rest of the party when this fiasco is over so she can do the things she wants to do for Americans and I hope that means she will be president in four years. I don’t expect her to attack another female candidate based on rumors and lies and sexism. She has been the target of that for too long, but I don’t expect her to destroy any chance she has by supporting someone who has a different set of values either.

I’m wondering what kind of people have been making these comments on this blog and who you are. Hillary isn’t a candidate anymore. She is a DEMOCRATIC senator from NY. I don’t understand why everyone else has trouble seeing the complexities of her position. There are some new commenters here at noquarter. You don’t identify your affiliations or loyalties. You are apparently just here to do some more damage to Hillary. In the meantime, I’m just going to continue reading because sooner or later your real intentions will come through.

Comment by Lark | 2008-09-05 23:26:21

I have a question for you,Lark?Okay.WTH do you think she is supposed to doThat’s what I try to think for myself and comment. I know my comment is just a comment. Once the thread is dead, it dissipates. Hillary has her own life. A very interesting life. I have mine. A very boring life.what makes you think you know and understand more about how to do what she has promised to doThat’s my challenge. With the minimal information I have, trace a path toward success (personal or otherwise). My hobby is to make predictions. Given X, Y, Z, one may get result A. With X2, Y2, Z2 one may get result B.and maintain her integrity to herself and her principles and balance that with the commitments to us (her supporters) without working inside the Democratic party?Great question. I would consider all those things you used to preface your questions, add the present experience under consideration, add the desired result and solve for X. If you give PUMA a high value and 18 million votes even higher value, then maybe, outside of any personal considerations, breaking with the Democratic Party would be the best option; not for her maybe, but for those who voted for her. People who call themselves Hillary’s supporters have busy with their keyboards giving their opinions about what she should or should not do That’s a product of many things, mostly freedom and the availability of a blank board, plus personal initiative and the joy of expression mixed with entertainment. I’m wondering what kind of people have been making these comments on this blog and who you are People not much different than you, I suppose. Hillary isn’t a candidate anymore But she elicited a covenant that she would represent those who voted for her. Hillary isn’t a candidate anymore She represent the people of the State of New York. I don’t understand why everyone else has trouble seeing the complexities of her position. I don’t think people have such trouble. People see the complexities and their brains can produce a potential result. No biggie. Brains are very powerful computing organs. You don’t identify your affiliations or loyalties. There is no requirement to do that. You are apparently just here to do some more damage to Hillary. My words written here do not nor will they damage Hillary. They are opinions. Opinions do not damage anyone. They carry no particular weight. sooner or later your real intentions will come through. My intentions are to entertain myself reading and commenting on the issues of each thread and reacting and responding to what I read. No biggie.

Thanks for the questions. They help me know myself better.

I agree. NONE of us have been in the trenches that HRCs been in during this coup d’etat!

It’s a testament to her skill that she’s still standing! Honestly, Obama would have collapsed the first month if he had been subjected to someone pulling the dirty and inside tricks that his campaign did!

I trust HRC to figure out how to navigate her way through this. She does NOT become a less capable candidate nor STILL the best to lead this country because she has to tap dance her way through a minefield! I plan to give her a pass for ANYTHING at this point..she’s walking an incredibly difficult path.

So, if we fail to unseat Obama, do you want her to have shot herself in the head politically to sooth your wrath?

or better that you trust her to navigate this the best way she can?

remember, 1/2 the party still supports that idiot Obama… we’ll need them in 2012

They told you to “get over it” and expected you to “fall in line” this year. And when you didn’t, they said that they didn’t “need” you anyway.

Why would you want them back in 2012?

Comment by Dr. Kate | 2008-09-06 00:43:25

its half the democratic party! This is why this is so stupid–50% wanted HRC, 50% wanted Obama. Obama cheats his way to the top, elmininating his competition, and then choses biden?

It undercuts everything he says he was about. He shows himself insecure with a woman. Half the demos are still going to vote for him.

When he loses in November, it will be time to bring the party back togehter after the necessary cleansing. We will need all dems to get control of the white house again.

hope that is a start at an answer.

Well, it will be interesting to watch what she does. If she comes out super nasty toward McCain she will damage her chances for 2012 because it will look like she is signing on to the Axelrod smear machine.

I take any media reports with a huge grain of salt…these media guys are basically passing off Obama press releases as fact. Obviously Obama wants to force Hillary to campaign for him by getting this stuff printed. We’ll see what she actually does.

Clinton set to strike McCain, not Palin

Glenn Thrush Fri Sep 5, 3:39 PM ET
Hillary Rodham Clinton has no intention of becoming a Sarah Palin attack dog — but has no qualms going after John McCain, people close to the former first lady say.

“She’s not the answer when it comes to winning conservative women — she never was — and we’re not going to be anybody’s attack dog against Sarah Palin,” said a Clinton insider. “To be fair to Obama’s people, they haven’t asked us to do that.”

Hillary is wrong for stumping for this criminal. She should just fake having the flu for the next two months or get some fight in her and tell him to f**k off.

Comment by Lark | 2008-09-05 21:15:34

If she campaign against McCain/Palin then she will also be a looser when McCain/Palin beats Obambi. So then she’ll loose twice. Once against Barack and once against McCain. And she will loose the respect of Palin which she needs if she wants to pass all the legislation she wants to pass and to have a good standing when she becomes the Senate Majority Leader. IMO.

Comment by ldyoung | 2008-09-05 21:33:57

Hillary will never NEED the respect of Palin. Palin will need the respect of Hillary!

Comment by K Lynne | 2008-09-05 21:34:06

Watching this reminds me of how McCain was forced to campaign for Bush after the ‘illegitimate black baby’ smear pushed by the Bushies. I get a strong feeling that McCain really dislikes Bush, but he had to campaign if he wanted any hope of ever running successfully again.

I was rooting for McCain in 2000 - and am very much hoping that the ‘Maverick’ of 2000 is the real McCain and all of the pandering towards the Religious Right is what he had to do to get the nomination.

Comment by trixta | 2008-09-05 22:24:22

I disagree. Hillary will do her “best” for the Dems and at the same time try to preserve what she built over the primaries. She can’t let Palin take credit for everything she worked for this primary season. I think this will help her in 2012. Let Obama fight the VP; let HRC fight McCain. Wouldn’t this just confirm that she should have been the Dem’s choice after all?

Wistful sigh…I sure do miss the early days of that clean campaign Hillary ran….Remember this in January?

The headlines say the latest schism among the top Democratic presidential candidates is over gender and race. But on the ground in the presidential season’s opening states, there is a darker narrative: that Hillary Clinton will not just fight hard, but fight dirty, to win. And her tactic of choice is attempting to suppress the votes of her rival’s supporters.

The latest example is from Nevada, where the Nevada State Education Association is widely seen as filing a suit on Clinton’s behalf to stop Las Vegas’ most powerful union, Culinary Workers Local 226, from caucusing inside downtown casinos after the union endorsed Barack Obama. The tactic foments a split along racial and class lines in arguably the strongest union city in America.

“It’s horrible,” said one longtime Nevada activist, who didn’t want his name used. “It will cause fights and damage that will last for years.”

But the Clinton campaign has made similar moves in New Hampshire and Iowa.

In the first primary state, her supporters — backed by New Hampshire Democratic Party officials — pressured poll workers to remove observers stationed by the Obama campaign. These volunteers had intended to track voters as part of their get-out-the-vote effort. That tactic came after the Clinton campaign sent a mailing targeting women that said Obama would not “stand up and protect” a women’s right to choose because he had voted “present” — but not yes — on a few abortion-related bills in the Illinois legislature.

“I’ve kept most mailers I got from every presidential candidate this year, and that mailer was the absolute worst,” wrote New Hampshire blogger Peter Glenshaw. “Never mind that Obama has a 100 percent approval rating from Planned Parenthood in Illinois. Never mind that Planned Parenthood asked him to vote ‘present’ on those bills.”

And in Iowa, the Clinton campaign — with the help of the state’s

I sure do miss the days in the summer of 2007 when Obama started his surrogate (via Michelle) attacks against Hillary…

Early on, Obama used the right wing smears that brought into question Hillary’s integrity. He did that because the polling showed that was a weakness for her.

TwotermO… you have proven that you have no integrity by coming here to support a man that is willing to win through fraudulent means. Nothing you say here, especially the lies and slime you promote, will be even regarded here.

You loose, as does Obama… You are just an echo of Obama’s character. Thank you for demonstrating so clearly why so many voters oppose Obama.

Sorry pal. Thems the roolz. In America you have to use your free time to attend a caucus or to go to the polls. The polls do not come to you. They do not have caucus’ at your place of business. Obama got away with having them on college campuses and in freakin barbershops for christsakes. What next? Maybe we can take all the 18 year old students out of class and bus them on the taxpayers dime to register to vote? Oh but then we would just have to do it again for them to vote. Hey No Problemo. hey lets just do it in predominantly black areas though. Maybe Gary, Indiana would be a nice place to start. You might think that could lead to some problems but naaaa. Oh wait didn’t Gary Indiana keep the whole country waiting for hour after hour after hour? Hadn’t 87% of the state counted their votes hours before Gary? Wasn’t it so bad that mayors of the surrounding towns were calling CNN and asking WTF are our votes? We turned them in 6 hours ago. Didn’t the mayor of Gary call in and say it was due to 3500 absentee ballots? Having lived in Chicago my entire life, I am very familiar with the “How many votes ya got” - “How many votes do we need” playbook. If I was an Obama supporter I would stay clear of any argument about voter irregularities, but hey that’s just me.

It’s just Barack trying to win by default again.

First, he got Alice Palmer off the ballot for state senate. He ran against nobody.

Then, his first Republican opponent, who was leading in the polls for the US senate race in Illinois, withdrew over a messy divorce.

Next, his campaign started calling for Hillary to withdraw with the Iowa caucuses.

It’s been a remarkable run.

But Sarah Barracuda isn’t going anywhere, and neither is McCain.

Unfortunately for Obama, most of us will still be here on Nov 4.

And who can forget this one?

The attack that received the most pop on cable television and the blogs came after a photograph of Obama dressed in ceremonial African garb appeared on the Drudge Report, and the item’s author, Matt Drudge, said the image was provided by a Clinton staff member.

The photo could be interpreted to suggest Muslim garb, and Obama has been nagged by erroneous rumors that he is or once was a Muslim. He is a Christian.

Obama campaign officials quickly denounced the Clinton camp’s alleged role in circulating the photo.

“On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in the election,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said.

Clinton campaign officials didn’t confirm or deny a role in the incident; instead, they tried to turn the tables on the Obama camp by saying its indignation over the photo’s publication is itself an effort to divide and distract voters.

Comment by fluffy bunny | 2008-09-05 21:30:27

Again, Matt Drudge has hated the Clintons for years. I don’t trust his word that the pic of Obama playing dress-up came from anybody associated with the Clintons.

Really, it’s best to just relax and watch what happens…I bet all of Hillary’s campaign appearances just happen to take place in districts with very close congressional elections. I’ll bet the dems are getting very nervous about losing congressional elections because of Obama being at the top of the ticket.

Yeah the empty suit probably has cement coattails.

This thing could be really bad for down-ticket Dems.

More smears… that photo was from a conservative blog, not from Hillary. The clain it came from Hillary was debunked.

TwotermO, I think you are really serving a life term for they way you spread lies…

Comment by Heather | 2008-09-06 00:27:42

That was pure cynical manipulation by Obama himself. HE provided that photo to Drudge and this false issue dominated the news cycle on a day when Hillary should’ve been getting kudos for her big foreign policy speech. Just one of Obama’s many dirty tricks.

Comment by UBM | 2008-09-05 21:08:11

My friends, Barack Obama has never, ever built a campaign speech around mocking or belittling Hillary Clinton as a person. Even the famous shoulder-brush — which to PUMAs is apparently the most horrific crime against women since Salem — was about brushing off Hillary’s attacks, not brushing her off as a person.

This occurred the day after a debate in which Hillary had made the tactical choice to go harshly negative against Obama, face-to-face. If your feelings are hurt by a gesture, then maybe you don’t have the steel needed to engage in negative attacks.

We’ll see if Moose Killah can take it like she dishes it out.

UBM is either suffering from severe memory loss, is a complete idiot, has been living in a cave for the last year, or is a bold-faced liar.

Barack Obama has never, ever built a campaign speech around mocking or belittling Hillary Clinton as a person

I am going to have to go with liar.
Obama’s racists attacks and gross misogyny spread by his campaign, his family, his pastor, and supporters made this the most disgusting political season I can remember. Nothing else could ever have moved me and so many others to vote for a Republican for the first time.

As for that debate you reference, Hillary went after Obama on issues. That is what governing is about. Obama, being severely out of his depth, floundered in his responses. The next day, still unable to counter her facts with anything substantial, he chose to mock her with the shoulder brush. That may make the room-temperature IQ crowd giggle, but it does not impress adults.

Obama is going to lose because he is an inexperienced idiot who has bought into his own bullshit.
Get over it.

Hi there, undercover.

Obama repeatedly called Hillary “disingenuous” (accompanied by arrogant laugh with eyes narrowed), called her “likeable enough” in a debate, accused her of “triangulation”, accused her of making “ill advised” comments about MLK. Always while looking down his nose, quite literally.
