Ladies, If You Didn’t Vote For Hillary…Why Are You Screaming About Your Rights Now?
By Ani on September 19, 2008 at 12:45 PM in Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Flip Flopping, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, Sexism
In the summer of 2005, I had a conversation with two very close women friends about Hillary running for President. They waxed rhapsodic about how great she would be. While I agreed wholeheartedly, I was very cynical about her chances.
I said, “In the privacy of the voting booth, it is not men who will take her down. It is women. Not enough women will vote for her.”
The ones who will not vote for her are the ones who do not vote for themselves. And in the primary, this turned out to be the case. So you’ll understand when I get a big kick out of the women supporting Obama, celebrities and civilians alike, who are shouting at those of us who won’t fall in line…
But the Republicans will overturn Roe v. Wade!!!
…Uh, not likely. Eight years of Reagan and twelve years of the Bushies did not overturn stare decisis (well settled law) and I sincerely doubt that the moderate/maverick McCain/Palin ticket will.
Besides, ladies, if you were so worried about it, maybe you should have voted for the gal who has been showing up for our causes her whole life. Not the guy whose gonna love you and leave you…
Roe v. Wade allows for lots of saber rattling by both sides every four years to keep the respective party faithful in line. As if women are one issue voters and have nothing else on their minds; as if we really think this issue is on the forefront of anyone’s Presidential agenda. Please see Texas Hill Country’s wonderful piece on Roe v. McCain.
In fact, my progressive Hillary-supporter-to-the-death husband had this to say in response:
“…on the state of the women’s movement: if it is [only about] Roe, then women are in for a long haul. As a man, and an early supporter of NOW, I have long advocated for women to take their power.
Unfortunately, my wife was right when she said that Hillary’s undoing would come from women. It’s been women like Maureen Dowd and Arianna Huffington that led the bashing of Hillary. Until women are willing to believe in their own power, nothing will change for them.
Too many women are waiting to be told who to vote for, how to vote, and the younger ones don’t even know the history of the women’s movement or why they should care.
If the women of this country had come out in force for the smartest person running for president, Hillary would be set for the White House. She has paved the road for Sarah Palin and hopefully, Gov. Palin won’t drop the ball.
When I listen to arguments against Gov. Palin and they are “She can’t manage her own kids, how can she run the country?” it makes me want to puke.
Nobody says about Obumble: “He raised his kids in a church that taught them welcome to the KKK of America and God damn America with a wife who’s never been proud of the country, so how can he make positive choices for the country?”
…There are too many of us men who understand that we are not the arbiters of women’s bodies and have no right to tell them what they should do. We should be there in support to help make the best decision.”
Women are the most powerful voting block in this nation. If we unite, guess what – we’ll finally get an agenda passed and not listen when we are told to keep waiting in line. Obama certainly wants his women fans to wait in line…right, Sweetie?
Hillary’s policies were spot on, coherent and much more effective. She has a record on women’s rights that you can trust. Well?
“Oh, but he gives a great speech. He’s so brilliant!!!”
No. He’s got a brilliant teleprompter operator who keeps the copy flowing for him.
I had an experience recently that I found fascinating from a behavioral standpoint. I was in a room of 10 other professional women, all educated, all entrepreneurs who ranged in age from 28 to 60. A 50-ish woman announced that she needed to buy a new car. The leader of the group immediately said “take a man with you” – as if having a penis automatically means you are a mechanic, you are better able to negotiate a good deal and the salesmen will not screw with you.
Every other woman in that group nodded in agreement – except me. Now it so happens in our house, you want a good deal on a car – I’m your gal.
While this incident is by no means a generalization, I was disappointed to see smart women buying into an idiotic stereotype about themselves. I didn’t know doodle-y squat about cars – I went to the library. I got on the Internet. I figured it out. I am now a barracuda at the car dealership.
In re Hillary: How can women trust another woman if they don’t trust themselves?
You’ll pardon me if these are not the women I want telling me who I need to vote for. I had a 42 year old female Obama supporter say to my face that she thinks ‘Hillary is smarter, but Obama is for change.’ Ugh. I’m not even going to dignify that with a response.
This is even more painful because in my involvement this campaign season, I have been privileged to find among my new friends and colleagues the most amazing, powerful, savvy women who understand very clearly what we’re fighting for and why they wanted Hillary and not Obama. Likewise, the progressive men who stepped up just as solidly and courageously have made an otherwise incredibly infuriating experience that much less so. I applaud you all.
Another woman, 55, said she voted for Obama because ‘he’s cute.’ But look at his legislative record! His flip flops on FISA! NAFTA! Iraq! AIG! Women’s rights! Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell! Gay rights! Present votes, no votes, wrong votes! Lying about Revs. Wright, Pfleger and Meeks! Lying about Rezko, Auchi, Ayers!!
Blah blah blah, like talking to a wall.
“I like him. He’s just nice.”
I did not bother to inquire further.
And any women who trash either Senator Clinton or Governor Palin using sexist reasoning have no business telling me who is going to protect my rights when they are, by extension, slandering themselves every time they repeat these kinds of attacks.
Ironic that today, we have Michelle Obama having the equivalent of a fireside chat with a group in Charlotte, N.C. According to Associated Press
Michelle Obama asked voters Thursday to make their choice on the issues, not because, “I like that guy” or, “she’s cute.”
Might she be talking about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin?
“I’m talking about me,” she said with a smile.
Cute? If Michelle is inferring that Governor Palin hasn’t got anything but ‘cute’ going for her, think again. This woman is living feminism – she has it all: family, husband, career. She is also living her principles whether you or I agree with all of them or not.
Michelle Obama is the last person who should be talking about ‘not voting for someone because they’re cute’ – she’s got the husband who walked into a Pennsylvania factory and offered a woman a kiss for a vote. How about if he ‘gets down on one knee,’ he said…
After a most questionable primary victory, no man who ignores 18,000,000 Hillary voters and tells the women to ‘get over it’ can convince me he gives a rosy red damn about my rights. No one who pays the women on his staff less than the men can convince me he gives a damn about equal pay and opportunity for women. And no man who behaves like a sexist on the campaign trail gets to force my vote for him in order to protect my reproductive freedom.
Pardon my dust but the words ‘trust’ and ‘Senator Obama’ don’t exactly go together comfortably in the same sentence.
Vote on the issues? If Senator Obama wanders too far from his teleprompter, he’s lucky he remembers what the issues are.
And I promise you ladies, he is not gonna remember YOU!!
Months ago, after I tried my best to impress upon the ‘nice, cute voter’ every argument regarding Obama’s problematic record and two-faced rhetoric, she voted ‘cute’ anyway.
Well, for those ladies who did the same and keep yelling at us to follow suit, frankly, I would feel much safer with a candidate I didn’t agree with half the time who actually told me what he stands for than a candidate who pretends to agree with everything I say, but when push comes to shove, will shove me under the bus along with the other ‘leave-behinds’ he has stepped over in his ultimate power grab.
The choice is yours. In voting for Obama, you may be choosing the label of “Democrat” but that is all you are getting. A label.
Obama’s so ‘progressive’ that he chose a safe, good ole sexist from the Senate, while McCain reached out to a maverick soul mate in Sarah Palin.
You see, the words ‘progressive’ and ‘Senator Obama’ don’t exactly go together either.
And beyond women’s rights, if you want to see a progressive and a true leader in action on the economic front, watch and read here.
The only true progressive in the race this year, the woman who brought us ‘a long way baby’ is back in New York, continuing to do her job, for women’s rights and for all of us.
Even though some of you didn’t give enough of a damn to reward her for it.

Michelle Obama Shut Up!!!! We need Hillary that is why we should all Donate to Phillip Berg and help him pursue the case he filed against Obama. Go to:

Obama’s Hypocrisy & Double Speak
I just found this video - quite apropos!
People are burning up about this~
Yeah - and THESE damned dummies will be the same ones hollering about Roe vs. Wade when McCain gets elected in November.
Yet Obama’s female supporters refused to support a woman candidate who has a proven track record of supporting women’s issues.
Let them holler. At the top of their lungs. We’re not listening to them.
I dare any of them to “get in my face” trying to make a case for Obama. They bettter stay the hell out of my face with that garbage.
That Was Then, This Is Now
By Doug
First, the New York Times, from July 3, 1984, on Geraldine Ferraro and the question of experience.
Where is it written that only senators are qualified to become President? Surely Ronald Reagan does not subscribe to that maxim. Or where is it written that mere representatives aren’t qualified, like Geraldine Ferraro of Queens? Representative Morris Udall, who lost New Hampshire to Jimmy Carter by a hair in 1976, must surely disagree. So must a longtime Michigan Congressman named Gerald Ford. Where is it written that governors and mayors, like Dianne Feinstein of San Francisco, are too local, too provincial? That didn’t stop Richard Nixon from picking Spiro Agnew, a suburban politician who became Governor of Maryland. Remember the main foreign affairs credential of Georgia’s Governor Carter: He was a member of the Trilateral Commission. Presidential candidates have always chosen their running mates for reasons of practical demography, not idealized democracy. One might even say demography is destiny: this candidate was chosen because he could deliver Texas, that one because he personified rectitude, that one because he appealed to the other wing of the party. On occasion, Americans find it necessary to rationalize this rough-and-ready process. What a splendid system, we say to ourselves, that takes little-known men, tests them in high office and permits them to grow into statesmen. This rationale may even be right, but then let it also be fair. Why shouldn’t a little-known woman have the same opportunity to grow? We may even be gradually elevating our standards for choosing Vice Presidential candidates. But that should be done fairly, also. Meanwhile, the indispensable credential for a Woman Who is the same as for a Man Who - one who helps the ticket.
(Emphasis added by NewsBusters.org.)
And now, the New York Times, from September 11, 2008, on Sarah Palin and the question of experience.
It is well past time for Sarah Palin, Republican running mate, governor of Alaska and self-proclaimed reformer, to fill in for the voting public the gaping blanks about her record and qualifications to be vice president.
[...]
Voters have a right to hear Ms. Palin explain in detail her qualifications to be standby president with no national or foreign policy experience. More is required of any serious candidate for such a high office than one interview with questions put by one selected source.
The paper of record can’t seem to get its story straight. Any wonder the old media is losing its credibility?

Wow! What a post! The best read in town! It is this ingratitude and utter disregard for the public service record of HIllary by her own party and Obama’s own misogyny (youtube: “OBama Gives Hillary the Finger”) that will kill the Democratic Party.
Hillary deserves respect and the votes of those doing the respecting. Obama defrauded the caucuses and won in Iowa by default. His lawers made sure the votes in Michigan and Florida didnh’t count!
The media misogynist frat-boys vilified Hillary. Matthews and Olberman and McCafferty degraded her. But her own party destroyed her chances and stole the nomination for the cute camouflaged Misogynist PigObama!
But Hillary’s legacy is alive and well. She’s rewriting HIstory until one day we can say with pride:
‘WOMENS’ RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS ARE WOMEN’S RIGHTS’
Don’t expect Obamarama to utter these words. Expect him to dust women off his shoulders and scrape them like excrement (as he did his fellow female Senator) off his shoes. He is a distunging old-time Male Sexist Pig in new rapper-wannabe clothing!
oops, I’m not qualified to comment about this. anyway, very good point, ani.
Oh, sure you are. Chime on in.
I’m with Ani (great article, by the way). Chime on in, benny, I’m going to.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again to my liberal women acquaintances; if you didn’t come to Hillary’s defense when she was getting bashed daily with sexist remarks, you don’t get to bitch about Sarah.
Just what kind of woman candidate are many Democratic women waiting for? I mean, it’s not like shopping for shoes where there are thousands of choices in hundreds of colors. And don’t jump on me–as a gay man who LOVES shoe shopping, I can say that. There were/are two choices of women in this election cycle and neither met/meet with their approval. Instead, an unqualified, lying, flip-flopping, law-breaking, caucus-gaming man did/does. Come on. And even if there had been thousands of choices in the election, Hillary Clinton would have still been the best sling-back pumps around.
Shoooooes. Italian leather, stiletto heeled pumps…or over-priced, brand name, rubber flip flops…hmmmmm. What to choose, what to choose?
yeap
too late to bitch now
ya’ll COULDA had HILLARY!
Sarah will do just fine. MIght actually give Hillary a run for her money in 2012 (should I live that long).
John McCain will be much better than Bush (that is my FIRST most IMMEDIATE requirement of the next President and VP)
MUST be better than BUSH/CHAINSAW
McCain/Palin is light years above that.
Maybe not a Hillary/Clark dream but the flipside of the coin with as much Honor!
I’ll take it. For now.
anyday over bambi
(saw a few more of his bumper stickers today, even one Veteran for Obama which made me wanna hurl)
not one McCain/Palin bumpersticker
what’s up TEAM MACK??? Send us out some stickers here in Western NC will ya?
I’m in NC and I’ve seen some.
Saw online where Obamabi was figuring on getting all of the black vote here. To win he’d need just 36% of the white vote, but he’s not getting 30%!
Ironic in this year of “change” all we talk about is white vote and black vote.
perhaps that is “the change”
after all even Einstein said you can ONLY travel BACK in time, never forward. It’s a cosmic law!
Bambi is taking us way back in time.
Call McCain Headquarters they have them for free when you walk in the door.
Hi Dawnelle, Just wanted to let you know that most of the people who put McCain/Palin bumper stickers on their vehicles have been vandalized. Their tires slashed, key scratches on their paint, windshields damaged, etc. Also, people putting McCain/Palin signs in their yards also seem to “go missing.” Just thought I would give you a heads up.
If you have a mom, gf, wife or any women you care about, you are more than qualified to comment.
And, the media continues to throw the race card in attempting to force Senator Obama’s selection as President.
It is time for people to respond en masse to let these media outlets know that we are tired of their manipulation of the news. If you are concerned, you can start by reading this article:
Washington Post Faults McCain For Relying On…Washington Post
http://corner.nationalreview.com/
and replying to Deborah Howell, the Ombudsman at The Washington Post, here:
ombudsman@washpost.com
If we all remain silent on this type of advocacy journalism and race-baiting we will get the President we deserve…a scary thought indeed.
I have been hoping a post would go up here about how they are calling McCain’s ad racist, but it is yet another post about Hillary and how the woman’s groups only back women that stand for what they stand for…things move fast and you have to cover what is happening now or you lose…I give up…
Stay tuned later this afternoon for the topic you requested.
Do you realize how much damage gets done in the meantime?…If we don’t stay on top of things we will be saying President O
Below I post a story about Biden lying about his wife’s death and how he is hurting the family of the man who has since died and can’t speak out against Biden.
a link to the story…
http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2008/09/biden-attacks-defensless.html
Give them a chance to type it out.
Read what I posted above and do something please.
The MSM is set to get their new Democratic president, and then viewership and sales will go up and up for the next 4 years. Too bad ad revenue will go down and down. Well, those in the top spots now don’t care. Sorry for those who are coming behind. They may have to wait and wait and wait, who knows, maybe 20 years.
If this keeps up, the Fairness Doctrine is going to start looking awfully good to Republicans.
karma comes back to everyone
has no preferential party to repay
it’s a beautiful thing to witness (and experience)
glad to know there are others like me who don’t automatically jump into which ever colored box even though they will be bashed by their OWN party for trying to “KEEP IT REAL”
for the love of PETE!!!!!
argh!

McCain has a second ad out, featuring Jim Johnson, his ex-VP vetter. That’s the link above.
It’s the Post writing staff that’s the problem. The editorial board took a swipe at them indirectly today with their op-ed favoring McCain as a regulator.
Excellent post! And I’m proud to say that my husband, also, feels exactly the same way. In fact, when Sarah Palin was chosen, my husband, a life-long Democrat, got so overwhelmed with emotion that he got teary-eyed and couldn’t speak. He knew what that choice by John McCain meant to so many of us women! That’s an image I will forever hold dear to me, and one that I can thank Senator MCain for making possible.
God Bless Sarah Palin!
God Bless John McCain!
God Bless Pumas!
And God Bless America!
Your husband obviously should seek counseling for his obvious issues. Crying over a politician, especially on who against every tenant he was “lifelong” for…And you say we’re deluded…um OK???
No, joe bob, diluted, not deluded. The Democratic Party has been so diluted with Obama Kool-Aid, that it is no longer recognizable by its life-long supporters.
Deluded would be reading the above article and thinking it makes sense.
Um, President’s can’t overturn Roe. Congress would need a Constitutional Amendment to overturn Roe. Very difficult to do.
No, it will be the Supreme Court that will overturn Roe. They are one judge away. Thomas, Scalia, Alito, Roberts and the next judge nominated by St. McCain if he wins.
Those five will be all it takes and Roe will be gone forever.
Period.
The judge McCain/Palin will nominate will not deign to provide congress with a “litmus test” answer to a question like abortion. Congress cannot simply refuse to affirm every judge McCain puts up.
Justice Stevens is 88 years old.
This is not a scare tactic. This is cold reality.
By the way, the most conservative Justice, Antonin Scalia, has stated in re Roe v Wade that he would not fly in the face of stare decisis -well settled law — just like it says in the article. You might want to review what that means.
Overturning this precedent is a helluva lot more complicated for the Supreem Court to do than you would think — stop with the scare tactics.
My uterus is not to be used to control my vote.
McCain Palin 08
joe bob: your post of 13:01:05 -
“It’s like you people are children. It’s like you need common sense and facts explained very very slowly”.
Please forgive my childish mind and explain what is meant in your post of 13:03:03 (what a busy little bee you are!) by
“on who against every tenant he was lifelong for”
Are you referring to the tenants of the rumored seven McCain properties? Or could you be struggling to find the word ‘tenet’, which might make a little more sense of your incoherent sentence?
My husband and I cried when Obama & his Pod Dems stole the nomination.
Since I don’t watch tv — I’m so grateful to Paul and other’s who go beyond the call of duty and post the important interviews or speeches.
I watched Sarah Palin’s interviews and her current stump speech. Although she is NOT Hillary Clinton she really is very different from the guys who are running President or VP. I don’t agree with her on everything but she seems to have a lot of common sense which seems to be missing is a lot of politicians.
And yes Sarah IS a feminist — no question.
One idiot so called feminist called the people who are voting for McCain & Palin — white trash. As if there cannot be a wide variety of feminist –the non cookie cutter feminists. I guess this is what has been a put off with the “organized” feminists — the members are expected to follow the “feminist” line. This is merely substitution one form of conformist ideology with the old male dominated group think.
My husband did the same thing! I looked over at him and he had tears running down his cheeks when McCain announced Palin as his running mate. When I asked him why he was crying he said “because I know how much Hillary meant to you and how hard you fought for her and I think this woman is strong like Hillary. I think you’ll like her” and I do.
Hillary 2012 but for right now, McCain/Palin
Great article — and yes women are women’s worst enemies.
I saw this long ago when women voted against the ERA — WOMEN!
Ani, EXACTLY!!! Your title says everything. They let go of a well qualified candidate and now they are afraid.. and want us to help them in defending their rights?? The nerve of them.
All my friends who voted for Obama in the primaries are up in arms frantic now that Palin has come onto the scene. I reply, “I told you so!”
It’s so amusing that you state this, um who does HRC think is best on these issues??? it’s like you people are children. It’s like you need common sense and facts explained very very slowly…
HRC is best on these issues. But she didn’t get the nod. WE are free to disagree with HRC’s assessment of Obama. He’s not the best on these issues. After all, he couldn’t help people in his own district in Chicago as a State Senator against a predatory slumlord -Rezko anyone?
He makes promises he doesn’t keep Fisa, campaign finance etc. So now he’s all for women? Odd, he had nothing to say when HRC was being referred to as a b*tch and a wh*re. He’s all for women but he pays he own female staffers less.
Unlike Obama followers we don’t do as we’re told.
“his own”
Obama has more accomplishments on issues that are of particular concern to women than you can count on his middle finger.
Rob Chicago
Obama’s accomplishment agreed are many! Just watch his JayC rapper-wannabe cool act in youtube’s mega hit:
“Obama Gives Hillary the Finger” –dusting her off and scraping off his shoes as if his fellow female senatore were ….excrement!
Yup! That is change we can believe in. And what those moronic women who voted Obama will be getting in due course!
Only Hillary ‘gets’ it! The rest of these misogynist creeps running for office are…xeroxed copies with vitriol!
But Obama gave the nod for his surrogates and Brown Shirts to call HRC a Bitch and Whore! He also flipped her off and pretended to dust her off his shoulders. Very presidential!
Proving once again that “trash” comes in all colors.
trixta
You said it! Obama gets the camouflaged Misogynist Pig of the Year Award! But Sweetie will see the DNC ceiling explode on his duplicitous face via the milion of HIllary cracks that will shatter it soon…
You mean HRC’s current publically stated assessment of Obama. Remember, she’s only saying what she HAS to say, otherwise the DNC would probably destroy her.
I think you need to stop drinking that Obama koolaid! How old are you 18? At 18 you brain hasn’t even developed enough to give you a rational opinion. As far as McCain’s record goes you obviously don’t know the political history of John McCain. He is the total opposite of Bush and frankly Obama. You sound like a programed Obama robot.
This is an excellent article. Whats sad for me is why no one is listening ? Ohhhh….I forgot….he’s cute.
No, he’s not. He seems like the classic geeky guy, nerd to me. He doesn’t even have a nice butt. Too skinny, big ears, can’t form a sentence.
Unless you mean he’s bow-legged? I didn’t notice that about him.
WOW, McCain has put out something like 6 ads today.
All going very hard at obama.
And all true.
Sarah Palin took it to obama for his”get in their face” remark yesterday saying that is not the politics of change “it is politics at its worst”
I agree.
McCain/Palin rally just ended and they have awesome message to push. Mac’s economic adress this morning was clear, specific, and had a great deal of focus on the middle class.
If McCain continues his populist message he will win.
He has a message that will resonate in the rust belt.
Fighting corruption is something alot of states are dealing with in their government.

Everyone should go on Drudge and watch this video “Blacks Against Obama’ Interrupt Campaign Rally”
Barack Obama’s campaign rally in Coral Gables, Florida Friday was interrupted by a group of about 10 African-American protesters holding signs that called themselves, “Blacks Against Obama.”
The signs said Obama was for gay marriage and abortion, and said his candidacy was “endorsed by the KKK.” Another sign said, “Jesse Jackson hates Obama.”
Obama originally said the protesters could stay inside the event, but they were escorted out when they would not stop shouting.
This is so funny!
I don’t trust this.
I think this is an attempt by the 0bama campaign to appear as it 0bama is not being supported by 95% of the AA community. It gives him the opportunity to distance himself from the kind of thinking that he is so pro-Black Liberation Theology.
I wish there were other kinds of protests. Calling him a LIAR would make my day. And calling him out on the things the media won’t touch.
Maybe these people are sincere, but to say that 0bama was endorsed by the KKK, makes them look ridiculous.
I’d much prefer them to have signs asking: “What have you done, 0bama for the Black Community.”
The answer:
ZILCH!
You may be right on this, but I heard that the white supremest groups do want Obama to win. They say their membership will go way up if Obama wins. Who knows, but I wouldn’t doubt that AA Christians would have a difficult time supporting Obama with his favorable views on late term abortion and the killing of newborns who survived a late term abortion.
if that’s about the group from St. Pete, Fla? then it’s For REAL!
I’m originally (or most of my life) from that area….
I think they are mad indeed.
No, Downelle.
This happened today in Coral Gables.
The St. Pete incident was weeks ago, well before
the convention. If you’re from this area (I’m
in downtown St. Pete), the protesters here were
UHURUS…..I suppose you know who THEY are.
They held up banners wanting to know what OZero
would do for AAs. They were escorted OUT.
BAD MOVE.
UHURUS HAVE A LOT OF INFLUENCE AROUND HERE
You can google for pictures, they’re still there.
yep those are the ones I thought they meant
(couldn’t spell it) lol UHURUS
Coral Gables (wrong area) sorry
wow so he has 2 groups now messing up his rallies
about time
I know McCain got some in Iowa yesterday.
but it didn’t sound like there were any in Minnesota (today)
I don’t like when they won’t stop. I mean they can make their point but to keep doing it is just selfish and (media) whorish
Pretty funny. I thought he wanted to get bad with them, but since they’re black he really couldn’t.
You know what I think? I think we need back the Karl Rove, Grinch, and nasty SOBs that when everytime a pin dropped in the Democrats circle of scandals, they would come out like lions. Now, what we have a bunch of “gosh…I don’t want to say or be nasty because I will be called a racist.” The hell with that! Get your dirtest gloves on and dismantle this liberal socialist once in for all.! Who the hell do you think is going to be the strong leader while the Russian are making love to Chavez?? They are planning large missile towards us because we are helping the Georgians. Do you actually believe this skinny big ear clown is going to help us? He probably go and get in a corner and smoke crack in his nervousness. Get your hands dirties for crying outloud! Who cares if you are seen as racist. It is our country that we need to protect not the “alarming riots” that they keep threatening us with. They want to do riots- fine- shoot all of them in the legs and put them all in jail for the next 20 years. I am not in a good mood today- I can see the deceits of polls everywhere!
Michelle Obama is amazing (not). If you have seen the video of her talking about “you should for for “her” because she’s cute” - she then tried to cover by claiming in the next sentence “and I’m talking about me” - you will see a disgruntled, very negative, and yes, jealous woman. Michelle, good try, but we know you were talking about Palin. You are not running for office, even if you wish you were. Your jealousy makes you look ugly (something that happens to even the most beautiful of people - and you are not one of them). Your soul shines in your eyes, Michelle, and when you are caught in an unguarded moment, like when you watched with baleful eyes and a grimace as Hillary spoke at the Democratic convention - your true spirit shines through.
She looks like Jaws.
One may think that is funny or clever or something but if she gets to the WH, this things will have a impact on our culture. Lying will be in, honesty out. And that will include market trading. So if you have seen bad, then you’ll see much worse.
Correction to my posting. Barry and Michelle = Bush 3.
yea we thought watching the Bush Brats and all their partying and BIRD FLIPPING was bad???
HA!
the CIC and his WIFE will be the ones telling MIDDLE (mostly RED STATE) American to FK OFF!!
Hell they already have. Judging from HISTORY………… and you know the rest of the story.
and they think we’re a bunch of dopes???
um NOPE
NOBAMA NEVA NO NO!
No one believes that she was talking about herself. She and Barack are certainly soul mates because they both like to make the sly, disrepectful dig and then say, “Who me?” Disgusting!
NObama’s strategy is Divide and Conquer and rig the vote.
Women are pitted against women.
Blacks are pitted against blacks.

This will backfire. Americans will unite in the privacy of the voting booths to Just Say NObama.

Cool - you get it hand-delivered to all your congressionals for $9.00 - $3.00 apiece
I just did it. The bad news is that all my reps are (California) democrats - in the tank for barky, of course - we need some congressional republicans on this!
Mine are—get this, Obama and Durbin (and Johnson).
I sent it anyway.
Wow, great post, thank you. Well said.
Yesterday I saw Bill Clinton talking, in CNBC, about our economic problems. He was dead on with his analysis. But, more importantly, he credited as the best solution that of Hillary’s. Men who are confident are the best advocates for strong women. I do not let the girls screaming about Palin get under my skin, and I do not help them by repeating their spittle. I am confident..
.. that she (Palin) knows a lot more about national issues than do I. Therefore I will firmly defend her.
OT. Next time a Time or CNN sweety picks on Sara remember, Time-Warner, who owns CNN, is the 15th largest contributor to Obama. They are just putting their mouth where their money is.

The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization’s PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals’ immediate families.
Now I just had a sick vision. Obama on a stage with a pole, dancing in a thong. The left, left, left gals with dollar bills between their teeth trying to .. No. I can’t go on. Gotta go wash the fingers that just tried to type that.
Now that was a banning offense. Yeeeeesh. Blech. Patooey.
Gee - thanks for the visual.
(LOL!) - YUCK!!
Thanks for another well-written essay, Ani. You’ve become one of my favourite bloggers ever. It’s uncanny how often and how deeply I have agreed with your ideas and opinions. Thank you for putting down your excellent thoughts for those of us lacking in such lucid eloquence.
Hah, the ‘candidate X and candidate Y’ quip of Bill C. was referenced there! On CNN, Bill C. again did a tepid supposed support for BH0, saying he thinks he’ll win…unless something happens in the debates…etc. etc. Love that Bill Clintong!
Thank you once again for this!
As I’ve been saying to many friends and colleagues lately, this is not about Roe v. Wade. It’s about Love v. Hate: Love of life, love of family, love of country, love of happiness - against hate of life, hate of family, hate of America, hate of happiness.
With a Hillary-McCain contest, we would have had a choice between two people who truly love their country. But the choice we now have is between a worldview of America-haters, who support Obama, and of America-lovers. Tens of millions of people of love America have still not realized that they may be supporting the MoveOn-Kos people, whose lives are filled with hate: they have shown it again with Sarah Palin, whom they began to hate even before they had known her.
I choose Love - I choose McCain.
Naral’s endorsement of Obama during the primaries is a perfect example of women not supporting eachother. And it is why I do not have any respect for the women and women’s organizations that did not support Hillary Clinton and are now trying to scare us into voting for Obama by using the abortion card. As Madeleine Albright said “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
EMILY’s List Trashes NARAL for Obama Endorsement

EMILY’s List, which supports Hillary Clinton, reacts harshly to what it calls the “tremendously disrespectful” endorsement of Barack Obama by NARAL.
The following is a statement from EMILY’s List president Ellen R. Malcolm on NARAL’s endorsement in the Democratic presidential competition:
“I think it is tremendously disrespectful to Sen. Clinton - who held up the nomination of a FDA commissioner in order to force approval of Plan B and who spoke so eloquently during the Supreme Court nomination about the importance of protecting Roe vs. Wade - to not give her the courtesy to finish the final three weeks of the primary process. It certainly must be disconcerting for elected leaders who stand up for reproductive rights and expect the choice community will stand with them.”
Thank
