Tuesday night on NQR: special guest Amy Siskind

Tune in Tuesday night for a special Hour of Power as DCMediaGirl welcomes Amy Siskind of The New Agenda.

The New Agenda is a new women’s rights group that is committed to taking a non-partisan approach to increasing women’s power, status, and representation. Most recently the group was in the news for criticizing NOW’s endorsement of Obama-Biden, the first time NOW has ever endorsed an all-male ticket. So far they’ve taken on NBC and the Wall Street Journal for demeaning language, and defended both Sarah Palin and Claire McCaskill from sexist attacks. Last week Amy Siskind was invited to appear on MSNBC but refused to do so until Jeff Zucker (the CEO of NBC) responds to the group’s complaints about Chris Matthews.

Other members of The New Agenda include Sacha Millstone, Lynette Long, and Harriet Christian — all familiar names to NoQuarter readers!
