Obama, Not My Messiah

I about choked when I listened to Minister Louis Farrakhan’s exhortation that Barack Obama IS The Messiah.
Caution: Put down any sharp instruments and hot liquids. Sit down before watching and have a barf bag handy.
This horrendous video needs no further explanation.
Not to be contrary, because no one loathes BO more than I do, but Farrakhan could mean that Obama is the “instrument” through which the Messiah speaks. He says that first, that the Messiah will speak through others and they will know it is his will.
That’s common from a religious/mystical perspective–that God works through people.
St. Francis: “Lord make me an instrument of your peace.”
Not that it excuses the rest of the garbage about him being “The One,” or being treated like some kind of Messiah. It’s all so bizarre, especially when you research and learn with a hollow, corrupt hypocrite he is.

No, Farrakhan said you are the instruments that God is going to use and pointed to the audience. He then said that is why Obama has captured the youth. He said something about a sign and the Messiah speaks the youth will listen. Sounds to me he was saying Obama was the Messiah.

I questioned what he meant too but it doesn’t matter the whole thing is creepy…I thought “religious nuts” (liberal speak) were the domain of neo-cons…but no, and the new liberal will support this while showing no tolerance for Christianity. What matters is what the audience HEARD.
Obama and Farrakhan are very adept at manipulating their words and others’ emotions to produce a desired outcome.
Oprah has already paved the way with her reference of “The One” and most likely the audience heard Farrakhan refer to Obama as The Messiah.
They know Obama’s not the real Messiah, Jesus, etc. but they’ll worship and revere him as if he were.
fif- I had to listen to the video a number of times to get the true intent of Farrakhan’s words. ( And yes Matthew, I needed a barf bag) And yes, on first blush, Farrakhan used a common theological theme and vocabulary. But like Barky and all his associates- he used that common theme to twist convention and covertly add a radical dimension. That is a tactic of indoctrination and brainwashing. Being an instrument of God’s will is not equalivent to being an instrument of Barack’s will.

I appreciate your comments, but you kind of lost me on the last paragraph. Hillary did try to bring some of this up but if you will remember, back in January, at the last debate between her and Obama and Edwards — she mentioned him being in bed with the slumlord, Tony Rezko — she was booed for doing so. He lied through his teeth and she was excoriated in the media for “attacking” the messiah. The media and the DNC elite created an atmosphere where no matter what she did or said, she was vilified for it. Her bringing up these associations would have only hurt her more.
She was out there flapping in the breeze all by herself. Even her 18,000,000 voters could not help against the ridiculous bias coming from these other forces.
She fought harder than I have ever seen a politician fight for anything. The amount of pressure that woman was under was excruciating, daily, and for months.
She is now doing the minimum that she has to do for him to stay in the game, keep her place at the table and live to fight another day.
And there will be another day.
She cannot commit political suicide to please us. Believe me, I’d love it if she and others would stand up and say, “The Emperor Has No Clothes”.
But we need her voice in the Senate. She will emerge even more as a leader in the future. Watch and see.

first let me remind you of some of the things that made me want to vote for
you in the first place. Your love of country, the way you tell a story, your sense of humor, and especially your devotion to service.
For me that’s enough and I’ve seen you communicate it, but not lately.
The reason? You are listening to the wrong advisor, you should be listening to your heart. You’ve let the republican party throw the kitchen sink at this guy to no effect, so maybe it’s time to kill with kindness.
I know you are angry, and I understand. Believe me I understand!
But so far anger has got us nowhere, so what to do? John it’s time to let go and let the American people know that it’s in their hands now. I really think at this point it’s time to pull out some of those stories, tell some jokes, and tell the American people about your belief system.
I know you don’t want to be negative, so stop the scary ad’s, talk directly to the american people like you did at saddleback, get on the issues, and show Obama how easy it can be to be above the fray. You may lose, but you’ll have self respect and be happy. Believe me I can tell you are not happy and so can everyone else.
Try starting out by telling us that you are pulling out of a strategy that deep inside you don’t believe in, and then explain why you are ready to move on. I know it’s hard, but you’ve been through worse. And you know what? It’s so easy to communicate that when people know it’s the real you saying it. I know you are capable of doing that. I also know your opponent would never do that in a million years.
