[Susan's Note: SluggoJD is doing more sleuthing, and we'll be posting his findings and insights later.]
Yesterday, a YouTube video spread throughout the blogosphere and media like mildew in a lazy bachelor’s shower stall. The clip’s audio is terribly unclear, but the editor inserted subtitles to give the false impression that Mickey Kantor, a former Bill [...]

Today, I bought gas in North Florida: $3.79 a gallon for regular, up about 83 cents since early February. Friday, Exxon Mobil reported quarterly profits of $10.9 billion. Last quarter, Exxon listed the highest quarterly profits in U.S. corporate history ($11.66 billion), as well as record-high annual profits of $40.66 billion in 2007.
Exxon’s share [...]

Some bloggers are upset with Barack Obama for giving conflicting responses about the flag-pin non-issue (Little Green Footballs via Memeorandum). Aside from admiring Nancy Pelosi’s pearls, I don’t care about politicians’ jewelry.
I do care about mainstream media’s repeated failure to cover the more substantive misleading statements that Sen. Obama has made: chiefly, those about where [...]

Pennsylvania’s primary is tomorrow, and TV ads are reportedly running round the clock, aimed at swaying undecided voters. Unfortunately, many campaign ads are not truly informative.
This morning, I thought again about why I support Hillary — reasons beyond the intelligence, warmth and wit that would make her a great Happy Hour partner. I [...]

In early March, I predicted that party leaders’ attempts to sway the Democratic presidential primaries would create a new wave of Independents. Since then, I’ve seen hundreds of comments from democrats expressing intent to register as Independents. Perfectly understandable.
For starters, the DNC’s disenfranchisement of Michigan and Florida (the fourth largest state) was neither forgivable nor [...]

During Tuesday’s Clinton-Obama debate, the candidates were restrained but took a few jabs at each other. They made some policy statements, and each said that the other could beat John McCain. Blah, blah, blah. That’s what I figured I’d blog about.
As Barack Obama delivered the final words of [...]

In March, I objected to a fund-raising email (signed by Barack Obama), which claimed that Hillary Clinton was attacking Obama’s supporters. The implication: she’s coming after you, personally, the way Darth Vader went after Luke. Fostering a bellicose, with-us-or-against-us mentality worked for President Bush after 9/11, and Obama’s [...]

Apparently, it’s media-bias week at BN-Politics. Some media outlets don’t even try to hide the fact that they’ve unofficially joined the Obama campaign. Some are more subtle: instead of worshiping Obama or trashing Hillary, they merely present or omit "facts" in a way that gives a vague impression.
Case in point: On Monday night, a segment [...]
