Corrente Wire, a fine blog, has done us a service by breaking down one of those encyclopedic New York Times articles into bite-size chunks. The NYT piece you can read yourselves, but here are a couple snippets from what Corrente has gleaned (and which any rational being not addicted to the KoolKidAid can see plain […]

So Mayor Richard Daley and Reverend Michael Pfleger decided it was time to for everyone to begin “Raising the Roof for St. Sabina.” Too bad their little fundraising scheme also raises the roof on the Barack Obama campaign’s den of political tricks and corruption.
Just view some of the names on this list of fundraisers […]

Barack Obama is running on his “judgment” and “integrity in government.” He tells us that Washington is broken, and he is the one who can fix it. But looking back at his fast rise up out of the slime of Chicago politics, one can legitimately question where he got the “creds” to fulfill […]

Following my friend Lois Capps’ endorsement of Barack Obama, it became clear that I had done her and other delegates a disservice by not disclosing information I witnessed at the Texas caucuses, and that endorsements should be made with the benefit of this information. After her endorsement, I wrote to Rep. Capps so that she […]

Perched on a picnic bench his week in Indiana, Michelle Obama asked the gathering to judge her husband based solely by the “choices he has made and his values.” Good directive, so I got started.
1. In his landmark speech in Philadelphia, he chose to say that Reverend Wright, his pastor of and counsel of 20 […]

Here’s a sampling of the thinking of Father Michael Pfleger, who Barack Obama has often cited as a “spiritual adviser” and whose testimonial is on Obama’s official campaign site:
I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit back while you tear down Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright. How dare you. How dare you. How dare you seek […]

Aiham Alsammarae is a dual U.S.-Iraqi citizen, and Iraq’s former “Electricity Minister”. He posted more than $2.7 million in property to help spring Tony Rezko from jail. How’s that for friendship??
He also donated $2300 to Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign. Barack Obama will be donating Mr. Alsammarae’s contribution to charity now. Seems fair, right?
Alsammarae — a […]

Over the last few months, Barack Obama has often stated that it was Chicago politics that made him tough enough to beat John McCain. Obama’s name has even come up a few times in the corruption trial of Tony Rezko, most recently in reference to toasting a man named Nadhmi Auchi at a Chicago party.
Just […]

Overview: This is a story of big-city behind-the-scenes politics — of scratch-my-back and I’ll-scratch-yours backroom dealings. It is a story of how Bill Ayers and Barack Obama — sitting on a charitable board (for which they were paid) — aided and abetted the lucrative real estate development projects of Obama’s former law firm associate […]

Flineo says that his new video was inspired by an important post by MBolack that traces the history of Barack Obama’s true views “about the working-class masses.” I’m reprinting her story here, in full.
Barack’s True Beliefs: Those to Which He “Clings” and “Clings” and “Clings”
Barack Obama outdid himself this week, didn’t he? […]
