You know, I am pretty tired of having to write about Barack Obama and whatever crapola he is claiming/twisting/changing today. I am sick of him and his duplicity. Not that I am surprised by it - not one iota. I am just sick of it. And I miss hearing Hillary Clinton. I miss her speeches, I miss her rallies, I miss her passion, I miss her personality. So, I thought I would pull up a great video of her speaking to the HRC board. So, if you have been missing her like I have, sit back and enjoy listening to her, and appreciating all that she has done (and would have done as president) for the LGBT community. As has often been noted, she has been a stalwart supporter of this community. And has long been a friend to the HRC.

If only HRC had been as good of a friend to Senator Clinton. On June 6, HRC endorsed BARACK OBAMA. Yes, they did. Why? Oh, their director, Joe Salmonese said it was because of his Civil Rights record (which is what, exactly?), his strong support of the LGBT community (which he has demonstrated HOW exactly?), and all of the other hooey people generally spew then. I terminated my membership to HRC. After over 20 years. For HRC to not endorse HRC after all of the accolades they have bestowed upon her, and after her COMMITMENT to our community is simply reprehensible. I have lost all respect for them (and frankly, I was never all that thrilled with Salmonese anyway, and even less so now).

Between Bush and Obama. This one is pretty shocking, I think. Well, it might be to Obamabots. Those of us still in the rational world aren’t really surprised by ANYTHING this guy will say or do, but still - this one is big. And, coincidentally, it also goes along with two other posts I had recently regarding Obama pursuing Evangelical Christians and his little spat with James Dobson.

Okay, Okay, I’ll get to the point: Obama wants to continue the Faith Based Initiatives Program, and EXPAND the amount of federal dollars GOING to the organizations involves in it. But wait - it gets better! He wants to allow them to HIRE and FIRE on the basis of RELIGION!!!

You read that right — this self-titled Constitutional scholar wants to allow YOUR tax paying dollars to go to faith-based initiatives, allowing them to decide if the person is religious enough, their KIND of religious, and to dismiss them should they decide the employee’s belief system does not match closely enough to the organization. Hold on, there is even more! According to the AP Article, “Obama TO Expand Bush’s Faith-based Programs“:

Obama proposes to elevate the program to a “moral center” of his administration, by renaming it the Office of Community and Faith-Based Partnerships, and changing training from occasional huge conferences to empowering larger religious charities to mentor smaller ones in their communities.

Pay attention to that name change, so that you KNOW he is talking about faith-based programming using federal dollars in the future. (more…)

Salon magazine published an article today: “Will Clinton supporters vote for Obama?,” by Rebecca Traister. The story’s subtitle: “The attack of the PUMAs, or a dozen reasons why Clinton voters are still too angry to come home.”

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Here is the main thing your article fails to take into account, and the main thing every single media outlet in this country likewise ignores: The number one reason we will not support Senator Obama for President is that he is not qualified for the job.

Surprised? Let’s examine this more closely.

This man has missed over 40% of his votes in the Senate. If one examines the votes he has missed, they actually are politically risky and require moral courage. So far, he has exhibited little.

He voted “present” 130 times in the Illinois State Legislature and voted “wrong” six times, i.e., he said “oops, I accidentally pressed the wrong button” — so either he is incapable of multitasking, or he is dishonest, just making choices for political expediency.

Aah. Thou hast hit it. What are the clues to his actions as nothing more than political expedience and opportunism:

A man who sits in a divisive and racist church for 20 years and lies about his knowledge of the contents of these sermons, then throws the church under the bus when it becomes politically critical for him to do so. (more…)

It seems that Donna someone should commit me Brazile is starting to have a meltdown. Not since her vainglorious days as Al Gore’s failed campaign manager has she been getting so much attention. And these days she uses that attention to weigh in on everything Democratic. Or so she thinks. The trouble is, that by weighing in on everything she is starting to let her biases show and giving everyone a glimpse at the ugly side of the person we all once had great respect for.

A few days ago someone at Hillary is 44 decided to publish the emails received back from Brazile to questions about her seeming Obama bias. To put it mildly, Brazile’s comments were hardly what one would expect from a “party leader.” In fact, some of the things she said were downright mean. Ben Smith over at Politico picked up on the story and further revealed the dark side of Donna Brazile.

Inside Donna Brazile’s BlackBerry

Do you know how many undeclared supers are now just turned off by people like you? Do you understand you’re hurting her and not promoting Hillary? Perhaps that explains why a candidate like Obama has raised $40 million in one month. You don’t have to e-mail me again.

Perhaps that explained why Obama raised $40 million in one month? Because of people like us that actually question all the bullshit put out by the media concerning Obama? Because we have the nerve to dispute the ridiculous lies that the Obama campaign uses as excuses to rephrase what Obama really meant when he said all that stupid stuff. Because some of us are offended by his racist bigoted spiritual mentor and his typical white person comments?

The day after Barack Obama decisively won the Democratic primary for US Senate he took the time to stop by good friend and spiritual advisor James Meeks’ church to attend Bible study. “I know that he’s a person of prayer,” Meeks says. “The night after the election, he was the hottest thing going from Galesburg to Rockford. He did all the TV shows, and all the morning news, but his last stop at night was for church. He came by to say thank you, and he came by for prayer.”

Now an event like this shouldn’t cause any alarm with anyone. Politicians regularly spend some of their free time recharging their political batteries by immersing them selves in spiritual matters. Obama is surely not alone there. But most politicians don’t hang out with “men of god” who regularly call the mayor of their city a “slave master”, call other pastors and politicians “house niggers” and white people that don’t vote for him “racists.” But then again, you might not know Obama’s other spiritual advisor, supporter and superdelegate: State Senator Reverend James Meeks.

Harsh Words

Per pulpit video from July 5 Rev. James Meeks states, “We don’t have slave masters. We got mayors. But they still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able, or to be educated.”

“Is it fair to compare Mayor Daley, him and the governor, to slave masters?” CBS 2’s Mike Flannery asked.

“They do the same thing. They preside over systems where they have the control of the lives of African-American and Hispanic people,” Meeks replied.

Who does this sound an awful lot like? That’s right, another Obama “spiritual advisor” Reverend Jeremiah Wright. The racist bigot that blames 9/11 on America, that believes we should be singing God Damn America, that says the USA is just like Al Qaeda and the guy that blames all the ills of the world on white people.

Notice a pattern here?
