I stopped reading Maureen Dowd and the rest of the New York Times’ misogynists during the primaries. Like many of Hillary’s supporters, I could not stomach their CDS hatefest,  and their Kool Aid keggers just added insult to injury. However, now that Himself is the presumptuous Democratic nominee, Ms Dowd has taken to noticing some of the problems of his candidacy. In a recent Op-Ed, Dowd writes:

When I interviewed Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for Rolling Stone a couple years ago, I wondered what Barack Obama would mean for them.“It seems like a President Obama would be harder to make fun of than these guys,” I said.“Are you kidding me?” Stewart scoffed. Then he and Colbert both said at the same time: “His dad was a goat-herder!”When I noted that Obama, in his memoir, had revealed that he had done some pot, booze and “maybe a little blow,” the two comedians began riffing about the dapper senator’s familiarity with drug slang.Colbert: Wow, that’s a very street way of putting it. ‘A little blow.’Stewart: A little bit of the white rabbit.Colbert: ‘Yeah, I packed a cocktail straw of cocaine and had a prostitute blow it in my ear, but that is all I did. High-fivin.’ ’   

During the primary, when I went looking for editorial cartoons on Barack Obama,  I read on Daryl Cagle’s cartoon site that because cartoonists couldn’t draw him well, there were few cartoons of Obama. I wondered then if that statement was a dodge because cartoonists didn’t want to be accused of racism when they caricatured Obama’s African American features. It has been abundantly clear that  cartoonists have absolutely no problem finding ways to caricature Senator Clinton. The Cagle cartoonists now appear to be comfortable caricaturing Obama, as can be seen above.  About the difficulty to find humor with Obama, Bill Carter writes:

Walter Mitty was essentially an ordinary and unremarkable man who had an extreme imagination which allowed him to mentally remove himself from who he was and where he was, soaring above others in greatness, cleverness and success–in his own mind. You might say Walter was really the first “Legend in his own mind” when he was fantasizing without regard to the safety of people around him. Walter’s noisy car, and its perpetual “Pocketa-Pocketa-Pocketa” sound served as a backdrop to his fantasies. Always, when he fantasized about himself, he was performing tasks of great heroism or genius. Sound familiar?

It’s…It’s…embarrassing when.. when …uh… [sic] Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe and [snicker] all we can say is Merci beaucoup.

What an insulting Asshat™ this guy is. Worse yet, to use an American expression: He should talk! He struggled with the language of a country he was living in and he has the Audacity and Arrogance™ to snort at others in America for being unable to speak other languages while simply visiting other countries.

Obama has claimed on numerous occasions to have become fluent in Indonesian in six months. Yet those who knew him disputed that during recent interviews.

Israella Pareira Darmawan, Obama’s 1st-grade teacher, said she attempted to help him learn the Indonesian language by going over pronunciation and vowel sounds. He struggled greatly with the foreign language, she said, and with his studies as a result.

As far as I can see, Comrade Obama is only capable of saying one phrase in other languages: Yes We Can. Even with that one line, his Spanish was atrocious, so I would like to know how it is that he thinks he can continually make fun of the country he wants to be President of and get away with it? Comrade, who were you referring to? Those “bitter hicks” with guns who work from sun-up to sun-down to provide you with your Whole Foods selection? Are you referring to those “downscale” voters who are too busy to learn other languages because they are working two jobs just to make ends meet–while they serve arrogant snotty asses like you? The youth vote has been basically dubbed Obama’s strongest, most reliable voting bloc. There is, as we all know, a weird phenomenon amongst the youth that so vigorously supported him, and I have seen it first hand.I am a student, as my name would suggest, at the University of Iowa, Iowa’s largest school. A large percentage of these kids come from the Chicago-land area. I have had a front-row seat to Obama-mania, or Obama-cultism for over a year. This is a phenomenon that should be studied more, but I first want to address something else. 

I wish people on all sides of this race would stop painting the youth vote as all going for Obama.There is a large percentage of young voters that went for him, and almost nowhere was this more true than in Iowa, but there are kids who thought this decision out rationally. I am one of them.

Don’t worry about those angry Hillary supporters who say they’ll vote for McCain or stay home in November. History proves they’ll vote for Obama.

The article shows a photo of a Hillary’s supporter, a woman of course, crying and being comforted by another. But this melodramatic display of emotion, Shapiro suggests, is just bluffing. Today I know “how” people voted for Richard Nixon in a historic landslide. Nobody really thought he was so great. The problem was they refused to vote for McGovern.

Really, as I look back in retrospect, George McGovern was a gentleman. Next to Barack Obama he was brilliant and honest. He had the experience and the service to his country to add to his resume. He actually had a real resume. His resume made Barack Obama look like a Playground Director. And he was a pleasant enough guy as well. He didn’t offend women at all either.

George’s problem wasn’t George. His problem was his followers. We were angsty. We wanted “change”. We wanted somebody who inspired us. What kid doesn’t? George was it for us. Pass the bong! (more…)

Well, some Obamoids learned the lessons verrrrrry well. At today’s Huffypot (do the google, I won’t link), Jeffrey Klein has started swiftboating John McCain’s navy career by implying McCain was both over privileged (he’s an elitist too!) and an incompetent flier. He starts the piece with a question about whether or not McCain was in line for a promotion to flag officer, but Klein quickly veers off into smearville. Of course, it wouldn’t be an anti-McCain talking point if he wasn’t tied to Bush:

Evidently, Obama has hijacked the DNC and moved it lock, stock, and barrel to CHICAGO!!! WOWIE ZOWIE!! How do the OTHER 57 states feel that the DNC has now become the BONC? Holy freakin’ Toledo.

This is really hard to fathom. Obama is a JUNIOR Senator. Hell, he has barely been there for his first term, and certainly has done very little real work since he has been so busy stealing - um, I mean - campaigning - for votes.

As we all know by now, he could not even chair his own subcommittee on piddly matters like AFGHANISTAN and NATO because he was busy running around the country on his Unity Unicorn. And now, and NOW - he has essentially taken over the ENTIRE DNC.

How does this happen, I ask you? Is it that people have HANDED over that much power to him, and if so, WHY? Why would they give a junior senator who has essentially ZERO experience, the reins to the WHOLE enchilada??? If I were still a Democrat, I’d be mighty upset by this.

Even still, I have never, in my entire 50 years on this planet, EVER heard of a presidential candidate having THIS much power over the organization, never mind one who had so little experience.
