Imagine if a bunch of disgruntled Mitt Romney supporters were currently stalking John McCain or Republican events loudly demanding that their candidate be nominated. Think the national press would be featuring it bigtime as an example of Republican party disunity? Well, the same thing is happening except the people are disgruntled Democrats expressing their opposition of Barack Obama while loudly continuing to support Hillary Clinton. … PUMA activities seem to be surging lately. …

Shepherdstown, W. Va.

While Barack Obama is busy ordering champagne for his premature victory party on May 20th, Hillary Clinton is pounding the West Virginia trail to get-out-the-vote in Tuesday’s primary.

By all accounts Clinton will enjoy a double-digit win in West Virginia, followed by another in Kentucky one week later. And even though Obama, his surrogates, and pundit parrots are furiously pre-spinning his losses in these two states by suggesting that they don’t really matter — West Virginia and Kentucky could end up being game-changers for Clinton. Here’s why:

Rural America can determine who becomes the next President. And West Virginia and Kentucky show off Clinton’s commanding rural advantage.

But they aren’t the only ones. Check out the county-by-county results from four very close contests (Clinton is red; Obama, green):

Now, there’s a pal of mine who just is not sufficiently respectful. Today, she called John Kerry a “low information voter with a C average who married to a tomato squasher.” (And, not surprisingly, she got troll-rated at MyDD for this intemperate remark.)

But what the two geniuses Pfouffe and Kerry do not realize is that Rush has given them a BIG boost towards victory! Pouty Poofy and Jawin’ John should NOT look this gift horse in the mouth! Here’s Mark Halperin’s big headline at Time magazine’s The Page blog:

Obama campaign strategist (and Adolf Hitler lookalike) David Axelrod stated last night that Hillary won Indiana because Rush Limbaugh mobilized Republicans to cross over and vote for her. He claims that 10% of the Indiana electorate were Republican crossovers and Hillary did very well among them.

Obama Campaign Points Finger at Rush

“There were elements of the Republican Party, including Rush Limbaugh, Sen. Clinton’s new ally, who were urging people to cross over and vote for her,” said Axelrod, referring to the Limbaugh-led “Operation Chaos,” a bid to disrupt Obama’s path to the nomination and prolong a divisive primary battle. “She obviously was somewhat a beneficiary of that.”

Let’s have a reality check here folks. It seems Mr. Axelrod is suffering from Cult-Aide syndrome. You know, that mysterious disease of sudden memory loss that affects Obama supporters. Because what Adolf, I mean David, Axelrod neglects to mention is that it was his savior, I mean client, Barack Obama who began this mischievousness of courting Republicans to cross over and be Democrats for a Day over a year ago.

Bush Latte: Obama “Democrat for a Day” scheme in Florida, not only in Nevada?

RE: Tie-Breaker

In April, Barack Obama called Indiana a ‘tie-breaker’ for the Democratic nominating process: “You know, Sen. Clinton is more favored in Pennsylvania and I’m right now a little more favored in North Carolina, so Indiana right now may end up being the tiebreaker. So we want to work very hard in Indiana.”

At the time, Senator Obama’s comments seemed to be part of an elaborate plan to lower expectations for the Indiana contest. After all, roughly 20% of Indiana Democratic primary voters have been exposed to Senator Obama for years because they live within the Chicago media market. He’s never lost a state that borders his home-state of Illinois.

The fact that Indiana was an open primary – Republicans and independents can vote in the Democratic contest – also augured well for Senator Obama. He has regularly argued that he should be nominated because he “appeal[s] to Republicans and Independents in a way that none of the other nominees can.” (more…)

Besides, Fox News does a great job, and Karl Rove’s analyses are quite fascinating since he knows the country so well.

INDIANA = 72 delegates
NO. CAROLINA = 115 delegates

AHA! UPPITY WOMAN stole my HOPE BONG a couple weeks ago.

I just stole it back. Pass it around, everyone! Give your Obamabot pals an extra hit!

Early results via Drudge for Indiana (hate to admit it, but he’s pretty fast at getting results up):

<del datetime="2008-05-06T23:39:18+00:00">IN [2% PRECINCTS]
CLINTON 20,237 61%
OBAMA 12,935 39%</del>
(It’s too hard to keep updating this so let’s all report results in the comments.)

(NORTH CAROLINA doesn’t sound good - perhaps double digits — I’ll never get it, but that’s just me. People voting against their own best interests, just to make themselves FEEL good.)

As the campaign for the nomination heads into the final days before North Carolina and Indiana, both campaigns are attempting to control the narrative prior to the voting. Obama is failing miserably. The Clinton campaign so fully controls the narrative now that it’s virtually a presidency-in-waiting, with bully pulpit and podium to boot (more on that below). So on Thursday, in another Judas moment and in a failed attempt to salvage Obama, Joe Andrew, former Democratic chair appointed by President Clinton, switched from Hillary to Obama. The Big Orange Kool-Aid (herein BOKA) triumphantly announced that:

It’s a high-profile, high-level signal to other super delegates that it’s okay to switch to Obama in order to finally bring about the inevitable conclusion. … The dam was holding, but it has now sprung a leak. The whole thing now threatens to collapse.

If it were still February, BOKA may have been correct in his assessment. However, as Jerome Armstrong correctly points out about Obama supporters: (more…)
