Why, if a big huge stink is NOT made about the cover, people might actually read the ARTICLE inside! And they might, just might, see that this Emperor, just like George Bush, is wearing no clothes.

So instead, let’s just ratchet up the furor because heaven knows, NO other politician has EVER had a satirical cartoon done about them in the history of politics - ever! That’s why this one is so shocking! And no doubt, RACIST! Because they are making fun of Obama!!!!! How COULD they?!?! Don’t they know that this is unprecedented?? Oh, wait - it’s not.

You can go to this website, Political Humor, and see cartoons about all KINDS of politicians. The difference there is that the cartoons are mocking the actual people pictured, not the nebulous blogoshpere and its potential for rumor-mongering. (There are far more sites than this one - I just found this one first, and quite easily.)

But that wasn’t the point. Well, it is kinda the point with Obama - to blow something completely out of proportion and twist the message behind it. (more…)

I don’t think it’s helpful to refer to a presidential candidate as a liar. I will not refer to Obama as a liar. That kind of talk lowers the civic discourse, it impugns the name of a public servant, and distracts us from the important duty of selecting a president. So, please ignore the image above.

However, since we happen to be on the subject of veracity, it’s come to my attention that Mr. Obama is now running an advertisement, titled “Dignity,” in which he claims to have passed welfare reform legislation. ABC News reports:

Barack Obama aligned himself with welfare reform on Monday, launching a television ad which touts the way the overhaul “slashed the rolls by 80 percent.”

Not only is he attempting to con Evangelicals, but he has made The Big Step. Yes, that’s right. Barack Obama says he is going to continue George Bush’s Faith Based programs. I have no doubt that he means it. He plans to provide money to anybody who worships the Highest Of High Lords: Himself. Most of it will go to Reverend Wright though. That new mansion is already too small for his big head. He wants to rebuild. What’s left of the grant will go to his Faith-Based Goddamn AmeriKKKa program. Here, I envision Reverend Wright being in full charge of the Goddamned Faith Based Initiative. I envision this much in the same way as I envision a pardoned Tony Rezko taking charge of HUD and Bill Ayers in charge of the Department of Education.

I find it interesting that Obama would applaud George Bush’s unwillingness to separate church from state, but I do not find it shocking. As time moves on, we are seeing that Comrade Obama bears a striking resemblence to George. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Obama is the Democratic Party’s George Bush Redux.

He’s inept just like George Bush. He lies to get what he wants, just like George Bush. He’s arrogant, just like George Bush. He disinfranchises entire blocks of Americans, just like George Bush. He uses people, just like George Bush. He’s arrogant, just like George Bush. He refuses to be vetted, just like George Bush. He gets his sycophants to attack people, just like George Bush. He rigs things, just like George Bush. He’s a thug, just like George Bush. He’s impressed with himself, just like George Bush. He cheats, just like George Bush. He has unsavory friends, just like George Bush. And he has a middle east conflict, just like George Bush.

And now, we are watching Barack Obama refuse to separate Church from State, just like George Bush.

There are a few differences though. At least George Bush can make up his mind what he believes, even if it’s the wrong thing.

I know you might find this hard to believe, but I think what Comrade Obama is doing is fun to watch. For one thing, it’s an absolute blast to watch HuffPo, DKos and Moveon have minor strokes watching Barky shove it up their noses. It really is fun to watch them come to the realization that Comrade Obama was using the whole boatload of them. First it was FISA and now the…..gasp…..evangelicals. I bet they all feel Hoodwinked. Bamboozled. Led Astray.

The Barack Obama truth squad is making a frantic effort to quash the rumor that there is a videotape in which Michelle Obama rants about “Whitey.” Michelle herself reportedly was “shocked and frustrated” when campaign staff repeatedly asked her about the tape, and told aides that…

“whitey” is simply not a word that African Americans of her generation tend to use — or that she herself would ever say.

In 2006, Meeks was recorded preaching, in the tradition of Wright and Pfleger:

“We don’t have slave masters, we got mayors…But they are still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able to be educated. You got some preachers that are house n——. You got some elected officials that are house n——. Rather than them try and break this up, they’re gonna fight you to protect that white man.”

Now, reportedly Meeks has stopped using the “N” word at Jackson’s prodding. And naturally Barack Obama’s campaign has issued whatever expedient words have been needed to distance Obama from Meeks. Certainly Obama has become a master at throwing everyone except blood relatives (for now) under the bus, so no big deal…

But only 4 years ago, Obama recruited Rev. Meeks for a radio advertisement in support of Barack-Obama-for-U.S. Senate. And now it’s surfaced on the national stage:

How does Obama explain ALL these long-term friendships with racists, homophobes, anti-semites, crooks, terrorists, and other assorted offenders — ALL of whom he has disowned in the past 6 months? I’m losing track…..Wright, Pfleger, Meeks, Ayres, Dorhn, Rezko, Farrakhan, Auchi, Khalidi…. (probably leaving someone out). As I pondered in another post, does Obama have any normal friends? Seriously, this guy is scary.

The Most Wildly Inappropriate Statement Ever?

I’m saddened by today’s verdict. This isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew, but now he has been convicted by a jury on multiple charges that once again shine a spotlight on the need for reform. I encourage the General Assembly to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent these kinds of abuses in the future.

So one wonders. Just who is the Tony Rezko Obama knew? Is he the guy that he gave a walk through of the mansion? Is he the same guy whose wife funneled him illegal money so that Obama could buy that cozy mansion. Or was the Tony Rezko that Obama knew some warm fuzzy above board always legitimate simply misunderstood foreigner that bitter, clingy white people have been out to get from the start?

It actually seems that there is a pattern emerging here. Because for some unexplained reason Obama has a slew of associates that he knew but didn’t really know at all. He did but he really didn’t.

Shades of Reagan’s I don’t recall seem eerily beckoning.

This post is a follow-on to “Obama & his preachers: too late to denounce and reject”, which was a compilation of blog entries about the Father Pfleger sermon, resulting attempts to backpedal (I would hardly call them apologies), and Obama’s longstanding association with teachers and ministers of black liberation theology.

I’ve seen many demands in the past couple of days calling for Barack Obama to strongly denounce Father Pfleger, disassociate from him, and apologize directly to Hillary for Pfleger’s horrific remarks. These demands are done in the name of “unifying” the party, namely appeasing the female supporters of Hillary Clinton who are getting more pissed off by the day.

But apologies and divorces won’t cut it. The hate-filled bigotry spewing from the preachers at Trinity United is entirely in keeping with the church’s philosophy, and this is a core value of Obama’s spiritual life going back decades. To divorce himself from that value system now would be a disingenuous act of sheer political expediency motivated solely by the desire to reach the White House. (more…)
