After I had lined up all of my facts, I published the findings at some “left” blogs, and here. The attacks were immediate, and vicious. ONE key point I had made in my article was that Sen. Hillary Clinton and then-senator John Edwards both voted for the “live birth” law — in fact the ENTIRE U.S. Senate voted unanimously for the “live birth” measure. Obama’s devotees explained his state senate votes (actually, they ranted) by informing me that it was what Planned Parenthood had TOLD him to do. (Let me get this right: A lobbying group instructed him? And he just blindly went along? Without using an iota of common sense about the ramifications? He — the man with enormous political ambitions — didn’t THINK OUT the future fall-out? He didn’t know, in an instant, that this would come back to haunt him? NONE OF THIS MADE ANY SENSE to me.)

Why did I write that story last winter? Why did I dare to publish that story in a hostile environment? I wanted to WARN fellow Democrats that this was an issue that the GOP could successfully use against Obama, and not only with conservatives but also with ANY liberal with a heart, and most especially any parent, no matter if the parent is a Republican or Democrat. Furthermore, the second Illinois state senate bill — the one that state senator Obama voted NAY on — was IDENTICAL to that passed unanimously by the U.S. Senate.

Today, I wake up and find out that the MSM has begun to discover exactly what I knew in 2007. There are numerous media reports (check Memeorandum.com). The article I choose to feature is that by David Freddoso, the author of the new book on Obama — which happens (and isn’t this interesting) to be the ONLY book that the Obama camp does not attack. Why is the Obama campaign not attacking that book? Might it be because a true journalist has written a truthful book? Could the REAL AGENDA of the Obama camp behind its all-out attack on blowhard Jerome Corsi’s book be because they wish to divert attention from David Freddoso’s far better book?

Okay - what did you see? As promised, Hillary Clinton will be speaking - among 274 other people. Okay - not really that many, but now she is one of TEN - 10 - speakers. Oh, yes - all kinds of people are thrown in there. I guess this way, they can try and (micro)manage her impact on the Convention crowd. But get THIS: SHE is not the Keynote Speaker. Oh, no - that honor goes to FORMER Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Mark Warner. Who, you say?? Yeah. See, I know him because I lived in Virginia when he was governor. But really - seriously - honestly - out of ALL the people Obama could have picked (and HE is the one who sets the schedule), he picked Mark Warner. Yep.

OK, I have not written much about the “breaking” news regarding John Edwards. Of course, the only “breaking” part about it was that it had been known for over a year already by the Press, and they SAT on it.

Oh, yes - they KNEW about it in 2007, which has been one of the issues: that John Edwards, the sanctimonious one, LIED about the affair when questioned a couple of times.

But only the National Enquirer, of ALL places, was willing to expose this man for the hypocrite he is. Now, let me just say, what happens in some one’s private life is their OWN business.

I always felt that what happened to Bill and Hillary Clinton with Monica Lewinsky was NO ONE’S business but their own. To foist the ridiculous investigation, at the expense of the TAXPAYERS of this country, was reprehensible.

It was NONE of our business, and had nothing to do with the case at hand. It was merely an attempt to embarrass a popular president who had restored this country to economic stability. I mean, really, if BUSH was not impeached after his lies that led us into a preemptive, Constitution-violating war, there is no WAY Clinton should have been impeached.

So, why am I bringing up John Edwards then? (more…)

Instead Edwards stayed in the race, harboring his secret life, knowing that it was likely to be exposed and that if he were somehow to emerge from the primary pack he would be humiliated and obliterated, just as he is now.

In the meantime, knowing full well that he was damaged goods, Edwards engaged in a ferocious negative campaign against Hillary–not Obama.

In effect, he was acting as Obama’s running mate. And Obama benefited enormously from having Edwards do some dirty work against Hillary. (more…)

Instances of the DNC’s poor judgment keep piling up so it’s hard to keep it all straight, but four years ago, this elitist boob was our Presidential nominee. He was destined to join the ranks of Dukakis, Mondale, McGovern and yes, even the incredibly smart Al Gore must be counted here. It seems they don’t know how to run a campaign without their noses in the air, so superior and so much smarter than the other guy. The ‘Captain of the debating team’ strategy doesn’t seem to work out so well for the Dems.

I think Hillary is an exception to the debate rule because she can string three sentences together without coming across as a snob. (more…)

About a week ago, I posted a piece on the Huffington Post called Say It Ain’t So, John. I didn’t think it would have much more impact than my usual posts…maybe a dozen comments or so, a couple of people linking to it. I cross posted on DailyKos, which is probably the best known and biggest progressive blog. I’ve been posting at Kos for a long time. As more news about Edwards has come out, I followed up with more posts which were also the subject of a large number of comments. All of them looked at the Edwards situation from my point of view; that is, a liberal who is concerned about the implications this story may have in November.

I reckon “Backtrack Barack” is just going to flip or flop on every single position that got him to where he is now - the PRESUMPTIVE candidate. If he keeps this up, he’s going to get confused and end up at the REPUBLICAN National Convention!!

So, thanks tons, all of you Obamabots, for all of your abusive, thuggish behavior, for locking out Clinton supporters from caucuses, getting signatures outside of the caucuses, harassing Clinton supporters online, setting up inside polling booths, and the RBC ones who STOLE VOTES ot push Obama over the top.

Susan Nieman had an Op-Ed in the New York Times, of all places (what us be sycophants?), telling the REAL deal in her piece, “Change Germans Can’t Believe In.”

In her very good piece Ms. Nieman had this to say:

(6/30/08)WITH gestures that ranged from a wink to a sneer, most anyone you met here this week volunteered the view that Barack Obama’s visit to Europe caused unprecedented frenzy. But it’s been hard for me to find a European, aside from two Harvard-educated friends in Paris, who confessed to excitement — not just about the visit, but the prospect of an Obama presidency.

It is true that Der Spiegel, the German newsweekly, featured Mr. Obama on its cover, topped by the words “Germany Meets the Superstar” — but the cover was satire, and nasty satire at that. The editors managed to find the ugliest photograph of Mr. Obama ever taken. It caught the senator at a moment that might be exhaustion but looks like conceited smirking. When Der Spiegel featured Mr. Obama on its cover in March, the cover line was “The Messiah Factor.” Must one add that this, too, was not meant to be taken at face value?

One thing they omit was that the challenging of petitions was done on the last day depriving the others of a response. Obama sent in a team of lawyers and they stayed until everyone was off the ballot, not just Alice Palmer, but everyone.
