Smith in Columbus, Ohio] wrote in his ruling.

Read more below this video from Greta’s Fox News show tonight, which contains some astonishing revelations. Of Note: Below the fold you’ll find more videos from Fox News on the Acorn revelations, including an interview today with Stanley Kurtz who has written highly influential recent articles on Bill Ayers and on Acorn. Of note: I think Fox News’s videos are getting slammed because some of these are appearing slowly, so please be patient. Thank you.

By TERRY KINNEY – 1 hour ago

CINCINNATI (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday ordered Ohio’s top elections official to verify the identity of newly registered voters by matching them with other government documents.

U.S. District Judge George C. Smith in Columbus ruled that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must perform verification required by the Help America Vote Act. That includes matching new registrants’ information against information in databases maintained by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Social Security Administration.

The order was the result of a lawsuit the Ohio Republican Party filed against Brunner, a Democrat. …

But we all know Ohio is the state where the outcome of this election will be determined.

Because this election will hinge on the results in Ohio, I ask everyone at No Quarter to consider participating in or contributing to an effort spearheaded by Real Democrats, a group of Democrats, Independents and Republicans who will visit Hillary Clinton supporters in Ohio before votes are cast in November.
An organization under scrutiny across the country for voter registration irregularities has told Ohio election officials it cannot eliminate fraud from its operations.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, blamed inefficiency and lack of resources for problems including duplicate registrations and workers filling out registration cards to make quotas.

The group, which works to get low-income people to vote, has turned in at least 65,000 cards to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections in Cleveland in the last year. The board has investigated potentially fraudulent cards since August and reviewed the situation Tuesday. …

Okey doke. Uh huh. At the same time that your counterpart in Nevada — on the defensive and boxed in a corner (of Acorn’s own making) — is claiming today that Acorn has “zero tolerance” for counterfeit forms and turns them into election officials, as is required by law.

Here is the first report on the raid of the Las Vegas, Nevada offices of Acorn:

According to reports just filed by AP, FOX News, Washington Post, CBS News, and several other local news sites, “ACORN’s Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud”.

According to Barack Obama, a truly universal health care plan is “government run health care,” and it will result in a tax increase.

Obama, it seems, fails to understand how many of the 18,000,000 who voted for Clinton supported her for her truly universal health care plan.

Truthteller here: Although I disagree with Ohio’s new voter registration arrangement, I intend to register and vote tomorrow at one of the early voting locations in the state. Please contact voters in Ohio who oppose Obama, and ask them to register and vote tomorrow if they are not already registered. Tomorrow is the last day one can register to vote in the November election in Ohio.

“Vote Early and Often” takes on new meaning in the twisted and abused registration and voting process now underway in Ohio this year from September 30 through October 6. It is not as if Ohio, like Florida, has not seen its share of voting challenges in past elections, but it appears that they are out to outdo their past reputation to create a voting result that is not legit or reflective of the state’s residents.

A person can register to vote through October 6th, even without identification. You simply need to state that you are a citizen of the United States, will be 18 on or before the election date, a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days by election date, are not incarcerated for a felony, not declared incompetent for voting purposes, or have not been permanently disenfranchised for violations of the election laws. Although a valid Ohio driver’s license is requested for identification, one is not required. If not available, the last four digits of your Social Security number are requested, but not required. Thereafter, nothing is required but your signature (Voter Registration Instructions, Ohio Revised Code Section 3503.28 and Voter Registration Form).

One of our writers is hard at work on reports for you readers about the grave concerns we all share about election fraud, vote theft, and same-day registration and voting. These are concerns that Peniel Cronin, the author of the important caucus fraud studies, wrote about to Reverend Amy and me recently. Reverend Amy is AFK for a few days so another writer is on the job. Ohio is a state where intensive on-the-ground efforts to register new voters are taking place. Ironically, four years ago, the Democrats screamed foul about Ohio’s Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. Now it’s his Democratic party replacement who’s creating a stir with her lax voting registration changes. This interview, titled “Stealing Ohio,” was aired this morning on Fox News:

Peniel believes that Obama’s campaign is employing the same tactics they used in the primaries to overwhelm and dominate the caucus states and to intimidate and control how individual caucuses were conducted. Below is a quote from a Cleveland Plain Dealer news story that Peniel e-mailed to me: (more…)

This is the fifth poll of the critical battleground state of Ohio (link to US census demographic data) and the fourth to show the trendline in Senator McCain’s direction. Two weeks ago, the Quinnipiac poll showed that Senator Obama had a five point lead and last week, the Survey USA poll had McCain up by four. Today a new poll from the Ohio News Organization (a consortium of Ohio newspapers) shows McCain still holding a moderate lead over Obama in the Buckeye state. The poll has McCain leading 48% to 42%. Four percent expressed a preference for independent candidate Ralph Nader and 1% for Libertarian candidate Bob Barr.

In the battle for Ohio’s 20 electoral votes, Republican presidential nominee John McCain holds a 48-42 percent lead over Democratic opponent Barack Obama — but with lots of time left in a volatile race, according to the first Middletown Journal/Ohio Newspaper Poll.

The poll also surveyed Ohio voters on health care, energy, and their personal financial situations — with nearly half saying they are worse off today than four years ago.

The Ohio News Organization — a cooperative formed this year by the state’s eight largest daily newspapers — commissioned the poll. The Institute for Policy Research at the University of Cincinnati, which also runs the Ohio Poll, surveyed 869 likely Ohio voters Sept. 12-16, with an error margin of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
